12. Wedding Carols!

Savio dropped Romila home. She had a messy dress unlike what she wore yesterday. Constant smile was what bringing a charm on her face.

She rang the bell. "Oh Romi! How was your date?" asked Aryan. Aryan Dutta. He was Romila's childhood friend who shifted in Kolkata. He had a crush on her which didn't succeed as she didn't return the same feelings.

Romila was very happy to see Aryan. She shared everything with him. But she couldn't talk about Savio as everything was going very rapidly. "Aaru! Ohh my God! Its sooo good to see you! Where have you been you fool? I have so many things to tell you!"

screamed Romila.

"Romi can you come in the kitchen? I have something to tell you." said Grandma.

Romila hopped into the kitchen. She was very excited to see Aryan. At the correct time! "Yea granny?" asked Romila.

"Maintain a safe distance from Aryan please. He liked you since you both were very young. And now when your granna discussed about you and Savio, he wasn't quite pleased. Take care. I don't want you to get into any trouble because of him Romi." warned Granny.

Romila was confused. She didn't know why Grandma was telling such stuff. "But I thought you liked Aryan? I mean c'mon granny..he is my best friend since I was 7. He can't harm me. Under any condition."

"Love sees no conditions sweetheart. You never know what he might turn to after you disclose about your seriousness with Savio. And wedding." said Granny.

"Granny I know whom to trust. But still if you're saying, I will maintain a distance." assured Romila.

Aryan was already in Romila's bedroom. He was waiting for his best friend to come. "Aaru! You wait, I'll freshen up and come." said Romila, removing her ornaments.

"No Romi. Shut the door and sit down. Please I need to talk to you." asked Aryan.

Romila was perplexed. She shut the door and sat beside him. "What's the matter Aaru?"

"Romila. Are you sure about Savio? I mean you hardly know this guy. Where he is from, why is his family not around and many things yaa. You can't get married to a stranger within 2 days!" said Aryan.

Romila was disturbed. She didn't expect this from Aryan. She felt her granny was telling the truth. Still, she composed herself and calmly replied, "I know Savio well enough to spend my entire life with him Aaru. I know your concern but seriously, he is a nice guy. And whatever happens I will get married to him."

Aryan seemed disappointed. He held Romila's hand and said, "Okay Romi. If you know what you are doing then it is okay. But any problem or any issue just call me. I am here in Mumbai. Or wherever I am, I'll come."

Romila patted his hand and said, "Thankyou! But I know there wouldnot be any problem. As long as Savio is by my side. Now help me out with the arrangements Aaru! I can't believe I am getting married in 2 days!"

She opened the door of her bedroom and suddenly saw someone sitting on the sofa. She bent and she saw Savio. He was talking to grandpa and grandma. She suddenly felt an urge to listen even though she knew he was talking about the marriage.

"Romi! Come down beta." called Grandma.

Romila hurried downstairs and saw Savio smiling at her. "Romi. We approve Savio as your life partner. Do you approve him?" asked Grandpa.

Romila smiled foolishly and went upstairs. She was blushing.

Within two days all the arrangements were done. Guest lists were prepared. Romila had selected a beautiful cream white off-shoulder gown. Aryan was helping her in shopping but still warned her once in a while. Romila ignored him.

And as destiny says, the wedding day arrived.
