Chapter 1

In a world of war, where people are forced into serfdom because they are from other countries a girl called Vex is having to do work. Work for nothing. She is less than a slave! She works from before dawn to after dusk, she sleeps on a cold slab of stone, she only gets new rags when her old one are made of holes, she is fed on the stale end of a loaf of bread and the scraps of 3 day old cheese that has been left out in the furnace of the day.
As it was nearing the middle of the day she walked back to the place where she abided to tell her master something that she thought was of great importance. "M..mm..mas..master," She squeaked just loud enough for someone to hear, "T..t..the well, i..i..it's got no water in it..."
Her master Machiavelli the Messy replied in a rather noble yet loud and rude tone "Then you will use water from the river and if you are bitten by a crocodile I shall give you no sympathy" and with that he turned around muttering under his breath something along the lines of "you foolish little girl... another word from... argh I wish I never bought livian... this land only grows zachus fruit... having a serf is too much work..."and at that point she ran away from that spot with tears streaming down her little face like rivers down a mountainside and went to the river 'how am I supposed to get water from there with out drowning I'm too short and light, I can't even swim...' she thought just as a beautiful lady came up to her and asked if she could borrow her bucket so Vex agreed to let her use it, however just as the lady disappeared to gather some water Master Machiavelli came running through the door of his workshop his face turning a deep scarlet colour and his ears turning purple holding a belt covered in tiny metal spikes "SERF!!! Where is your bucket?" He screamed. As he started to whip Vex until she screamed and broke down to the floor, just after Vex had been whipped the beautiful lady she had leant the bucket to came back and after she saw Vex on the floor with huge gashes in her back she raced back to her huge black and white dragon, "up" she commanded to the dragon and off she soared. The sight was spectacular, a dragon rider, this far away from the courts!
A few minutes later she was back, not by her self but she was riding with the high and mighty Queen behind her.
"Please child, come, what is your name?" Asked the Queen
"M..mm..My name is V..v..Vex your Majesty."
"Ahh Vex where is your master?"

Sorry if it's slow coming out I'm year 8 at school and I have at least 1 after school club everyday plus homework stacks up on weekends.
