Naruto: the werewolf jinchuriki of konoha

chapter 2: naruto's first birthday.

It's now been a year since Naruto was born and unlike last time the entire compound was being guarded by the anbu and inuzuka clan it's naruto's first birthday and all the festivities were going smoothly...were being the key word because just as the party was about to end and everyone was about to go home a very eerie feeling fell upon everyone as kurama said.

" Their back.... vampires..and their not alone.. apparently the rumors of a vampires covenant in Japan were true. But to think that they would attempt to come after you and your family now is pretty bold of them. Especially with the full moon about to rise in a few minutes. Then again..." Kushina then asked.

" What is it kurama???. What are you worried about???." Kurama then sniffed Naruto and said.

" I knew it!!!. Their here to kill Naruto!!!. Kushina.. Naruto is quite possibly the most powerful future lycan to have ever been born!!!. Almost nothing. Not even silver bullets or blades could kill him!!!. Weaken him maybe. But if you have a silver bullet or blades and go for his head... he's as good as dead." And Kushina asked.

" But why now!!??. And why come after me and my family!!??." And kurama said.

" Because only a lycan can kill a vampire... vampires are easy prey for a werewolf during the day... but at night.. they have just as much the home field advantage as a werewolf during a full moon. Tsume!!!. Gather your hounds and search everywhere!!!. If you find even one vampire howl and I will be there immediately!!!. I've dealt with vampires before. Their after Naruto because he's no ordinary lycan.. he's an Ookami...a werewolf who could transform during the day but also at night. By day a white wolf with eleven tails and the markings of the sun on his forehead.by night...a black and grey wolf with the markings of the moon on his left shoulder. "

Tsume then nods and said.

" You got it kurama. Let's go kuromaru!!!."

They then ran off into the forest too perform their search and report back anything or anyone they found that shouldn't be in the area. No more than ten minutes into the search and the family heard a loud howl off in the distance. Kurama then said.

" Well that didn't take long.. stay here!!!. Protect your pack. Protect your family. That's what matters right now!!!."
Kushina wanted to argue but knew that kurama was right. If she left what would happen to minato and Naruto???. Naruto wasn't old enough to access his lycan abilities yet and minato wasn't a werewolf!!!. As much as she hated it she had to stay behind. Especially since naruto's lycan abilities were that of an alpha male lycan that could travel during the day and night time. A very rare and unique ability with the potential to be a powerful lycan. The first ever Ookami lycan in uzumaki clan history.
Kurama and Tsume then returned with a vampire prisoner and who should it be but Saleem and craigan. Kurama and Tsume then threw them on the floor in front of Kushina and minato and Kushina said.

" WHO ARE YOU PEOPLE AND WHY ARE YOU PEOPLE AFTER MY SON!!??. WHO IS IT THAT YOU WORK FOR!!??. TALK!!!. NOW!!!."
Kushina was furious!!!. How dare these people try to kill her son. If she doesn't get the answers she wanted she would go full on Wolf mode and just kill them. After all.. The moon was full and Kushina was doing everything in her power not to loose control of her temper. But how much longer would her self control last was yet to be determined.

Saleem then said.

It's true that we are vampires. But unlike craigan her who's hoping to use your son to overthrow the covenant I actually wanted to try and protect you from our leader... Victor...a ruthless Man who's only goal is to enslave all lycan and Force them to be his obedient guard dogs."

Craigan then said.

" Saleem you traitorous bitch!!!. Victor will have your head if you side with these beasts and not kill the child as ordered. If Lucius is still alive and he finds out about the child he won't stop until he gets a hold of him." (SMACK!!!). Saleem slapped craigan and said.

" Oh please craigan. You don't think that I don't know about your little plan to use the lycan and take over the covenant yourself???. If anything you are the traitor here. Besides... Victor has outlived his usefulness to Marcus. Marcus corvenus is the one true rightful ruler of the covenant and always has been. and he's not as forgiving as Victor is. So tell me craigan...who do you fear more???. Victor???. Or Marcus???. Or did you forget about the first lycan William corvenus who's savagery knew no limits and he could never take human form ever again???."
And Kushina asked.

" Wait a minute???. Are you saying that the Royal corvenus family. The brothers Marcus and William... are still alive!!??. And that William was locked away like a wild animal for being unable to control himself???. That's like saying vampires would be forced to starve to death because they can't control the need for drinking human blood. How did you find out about us anyway???."
And craigan said.

" OH please. You lycan think you are so smart... you think you could run into hiding from vampires and start a new life with a family???.. there's nothing and nowhere you can hide that we vampires wouldn't be able to find you and Hunt you down with. We just so happened to overhear these two guys via satellite radio about your little family and knew that we couldn't pass up the opportunity. Sam and Dean Winchester were their names I believe. We found them and they hired us for our services to kill you. It seems they weren't wrong about your little child being unable to access his lycan form. It's always best to put the beast down before it grows up to be a powerful lycan enemy."

And jiraia said.

" Well those guys sure are persistent bastards I could tell you that much is for certain. But to think that they would hire vampire assassin's to do their dirty work... that's pretty cowardly even for them. Either way minato...konoha is no longer the safest place to be raising Naruto...we need to leave and go into hiding again for now... Kushina..is the uzumaki clan home island still in decent shape and are we able to set up a hidden base of operations???."

And Kushina said.

There is some areas of the island that are pretty much destroyed beyond repair but most of the island is still livable yeah. And besides... that's about the only safest place I can think of right now to raise Naruto.. sorry minato but you are the hokage of konoha... unless you are able to convince Tsunade to take up the mantle and resign from being hokage you can't come with us to the island. It's too dangerous."

And craigan said.

" Your all a bunch of fools. It's pointless to run and hide. Victor will find you and if he doesn't then Marcus and William will. Your all dead either way!!!."

And jiraia said.

"We're willing to take our chances. Fire style: grand fire ball jutsu!!!."
Jiraia then burned craigan to death and Saleem watched as he turned into a pile of ash and dust. So making the wiser decision to avoid a similar fate Saleem decided to make a deal with the family and said.

" Wait!!!. If you spare me I can ensure that the covenant never finds out about you and your family...I could feed them and Victor false information and keep them off your trail. All I ask in return is that you put your trust in me and let me join your people."

Minato then looked at Kushina who looks like she was about to loose control and asked.

" What do you think Kushina???. Your always saying how you wished the two factions would get along. Well this is your chance..if she's able to lead the vampires off our trail then we can raise Naruto safely. Let's trust her but keep a close eye on her. Jiraia.. your going to be working together with Saleem to ensure she's not going to betray us. Your to kill her if she does."

And jiraia said.

"I understand minato. Let's go vampire. I don't fully trust you but if minato says I have to then I guess I don't have a choice in the matter. But rest assured... I've killed people for far less then petty trust issues. and your no acception. "

With a game plan for Naruto and Kushina to leave for the island and jiraia and minato working with Saleem to draw the vampire covenant away from them to set up the new hidden base of operations put into motion life for Naruto and his mother was about to be very interesting.
