The Legend of Spartan 4625

Chapter 2: The Unexpected

I woke up and put on my armor on and walked out of my room.  Then suddenly the alarms went off, then I heard an explosion.  Marines ran past me loaded with their guns and one said to me, "Spartan the covenant blew up one of our defenses and are invading us hurry!"  I grabbed my assault rifle and my magnum and ran past every marine at full speed.  As soon as I got there the rest of Delta Squad was there leaving in a pod to earth.  "Get to the pod Spartan!"  I went into the pod without even fighting the covenant and I was shot down to earth in it.  I looked up at the Pillar of Faith and then I saw a corvette and I said, "Mother of god."  Within moments the Pillar of Faith was shot at by a giant laser that caused it to blow up.  I talked into the radio that was linked in our pods,"A moment of silence for our fallen soldiers, it is the least we can do for them now."  Then we crash landed on earth.  I got out of my pod as well as the rest of Delta squad, I turned around and saw Alpha squad coming in warthogs to pick us up.  We got in and Mac said, "Fucking covenant bitches, they just took down the Pillar of Faith without any sign of warning."  Alpha squad leader Buck said," The covenant will soon pay but right now we need to focus."  Out of nowhere we saw a crater and stopped.  We all got up to investigate and Alexis co-leader of Delta squad said,"Oh god."  I then saw what she meant when I saw it, it was the flood.  Buck said,"Dear lord what now?"  "Contact HQ they're going to want to know this," I said.  A flood meteor crashed within 20 miles of our location and then more.  "The flood, they're back."  We ran towards the warthogs and drove at full speed to HQ.  "HQ how copy," I said but no one responds, "HQ, how copy?"  No response again and then I said, "HQ is dead, I think the flood got them."  I saw a flood run at us with a gravity hammer and shot it.  "Well now this war is between 3 people.  We need to hurry up now, get to the nearest base that isn't fucked with flood," I said.  The flood have joined and the Pillar of Faith destroyed, it's going to be a miracle if we win this war.
