Fireman Sam and Firefighter Penny

Normal to weird

Sam POV:

It was a normal day at Pontypandy. I'm heading off to do my morning shift. I was walking into the fire station just as I saw her..... those chocolate color eyes full with beauty and her blonde hair so well done like always. She drove in with Venus.

"Um....Hi Sam." said Penny looking kind of uncomfortable. Oh God! I didn't even notice I was staring at her. Shoot!

"Oh uh Hello Penny you're just in time for Elvis' delicious pancakes."

Penny POV:

I was coming back from an emergency. Silly Norman was stuck in a tree again. Just as I was pulling in Sam was coming in for his shift. When he saw me he just stared at me for a whole 2 minutes. Why would he be staring at me like that. His eyes were full of awe. I've heard rumors that Sam and I would be a cute couple. Eww what kinda ship is that? I really don't have any feelings for him. I just think of him as a mentor and a best friend that's all.

"Um....Hi Sam." I said kinda feeling weird about it. That's when I guess he realized he was staring.

"Oh uh Hello Penny you're just in time for Elvis' delicious pancakes." Sam said nervously and quite embarrassed

"Yeah I know, I'm pretty hungry." I said trying to ignore the fact.

We walk upstairs to the kitchen. The rest of the crew are about to eat when we came in. Just on the dot.

"Morning Sam, morning Penny." Elvis said as he was serving breakfast.

"Good morning everyone."Sam said.

"Hello guys.....oh wow this looks great Elvis." I said. Elvis smiled brightly.

"Yeah props to you Elvis." Sam added.

"No problem. Hope you enjoy guys."

I start eating. I'm just thinking about how the bravest, most respected, "The Hero next door," would have feelings for me. That's just ridiculous to think. I mean I'm just a normal person. I'm not good enough for Fireman Sam. So I try to push that thought away because I really don't have any feelings.

"You ok Penny?" Ellie asked a little concern. She probably saw me thinking.

"Yeah I'm fine. You know what.....can I talk to you when we're done."

"Of course."

Sam POV:

Penny and Ellie are first to leave. They probably have something planned I guess. I stayed with Elvis to help clean up.

"So Sam......what's up?" Elvis asked.

"Nothing really." I replied.

"How's your plan going?" Elvis asked bumping his arm to mine.

"Plan?" I asked

"You know.....the dance. It's in a week."

"Oh shoot it's next week?!" Elvis nodded.

"I really don't think Penny thinks the same way." I said

"Well it's worth a shot. Just try and ask her if you can dance with her. She's not the type of person to hurt anyone. And you know that." Elvis said while washing the dishes.

"Yeah I guess. So this is my plan..... I'll ask her for a dance and if she does accept then I'll tell her my feelings." I explained.

"Sounds good enough. I'm sure nothing dramatic is going to happen." Elvis replied passing a dish for me to dry.

"Yeah I hope it doesn't become a big scene." Elvis laughed.

"Nonsense Sam. Penny is a very shy person. She's not gonna make it a big deal." Sam looked up.

"Yeah I'm sure everything will be fine."                                 

No ones POV:

Penny and Ellie went downstairs to wash Jupiter. Penny didn't know how to start the conversation.

"Well Penny....?" Ellie started. Penny sighed.

"It's about Sam." Ellie raised an
eyebrow.

"What did he do?" Penny shook her head.

"Well, it's umm.....he didn't do anything." Penny exclaimed.

Ellie knew Penny all to well. She can tell that there was something wrong that made her feel uncomfortable.

"You know Penny, I'm your best friend. You can tell me anything. I won't tell a single soul." Penny sighed.

"Ok fine" Ellie smiled in reassurance.

"So Today I drove in with Venus and at the same time Sam was walking in. He just stared at me for probably like 2 minutes. You can tell in his eyes that he was in some sort of awe. When I said Hi he just looked so embarrassed and he even blushed a little." Penny explained.

"Oh wow that's weird. He likes you for sure without a doubt." Penny rolled her eyes.
Ellie noticed.

"Don't you like him though?"

"Omg NO! That's just disgusting. Why would I? I just think of him as a friend that's all,ok?" Penny replied. Ellie shrugged.

"Well just tell him you're not interested. And boom your done."

"Yeah I will when he comes out."
