Fireman Sam and Firefighter Penny

Dangerous mines

Sam's POV:

I have lost my friends, my job, my reputation, my life. Just because of a mistake. It's been almost a week. I haven't ate a lot since. I spend most of my days roaming around in probably the most dangerous places in Pontypandy. Not the smartest idea, but at this point, does it even matter. I just want to disappear to a different world and act like nothing ever happened. Well that, of course, will never happen.

I continue to walk inside the mine. It feels quite lonely without anyone. I wonder if anyone noticed that I was missing. They probably did, but just didn't want to waste time looking for me. That's fine with me. Anyways I'm not worth it.

"Oh why does my life have to be a mess?" I tell myself. I wasn't paying attention to where I was going.

"Ahh!" I screamed. I fell into a pothole. I try to move my left arm.

"Oh no, I definitely broken my arm." I'm starting to get scared. All alone underground with a broken arm and no way to communicate. It's almost evening.

"Now what am I supposed to do?"

Author's POV:

"Ok team, we are gonna conduct a search party for Samuel Jones. He hasn't been seen as of last week." Station Officer Steele announced. The whole team was there, waiting for their command.

"Yes Sir." Everyone replied.

"So Tom I need you up in Wallaby 1. You are gonna start to search the mountains." Steele started.

"I'm on it mate, I..I. Mean Sir." Tom corrected.

"Right. Ben, you are gonna go in Titan with Cridlington. Search the whole Pontypandy Island."

"You got it Sir." Ben and Elvis replied.

"Ellie, Go in Venus and look around the streets of Pontypandy. Ask the people if they know anything about Sam's disappearance."

"Alright Sir."

"Arnold, take mercury and go to the mountain rescue center and look around the mountains, While Tom gets a bird's eye view"

"Ok, Sir"

"Penny, I know your good underground's. So your gonna go to the caves and mines in hydrus."

"You right there Sir."

"I'm gonna go in Bessie and Search the railroads." Steele added.

"Now go on and start searching."

"We're on it Sir." Everyone said as they headed off to their command.

Penny's POV:

I don't really drive Hydrus. Sam would usually do it. But, of course, I have to.

I arrive at the caves. I'm gonna check them out to see if there's any sign of Sam. I come here when I need a time out. To help let out my feelings. I have always done that since I was a little kid. No one ever helped me. That's why I became a firefighter. If no one helped me, then I want to be that person that I needed in my life. But to someone else's life. I don't want anyone to go through what I had to in my childhood.

"Sam! Are you in here!" I yelled into every cave. It took me probably a good 4 hours to search all the caves. It was dark outside. But we had to continue.

"Penny to Steele. Do you read me?" I spoke into my walkie- talkie.

"Loud and clear" Steele replied.

"It's very dark out here. How's everyone else doing? Over."

"Nothing yet. We'll continue looking. I'll inform you of any updates."

"Alright. Over and out." I'm really worried for Sam. How can no one find him? Did he leave town. No that couldn't be it. He wouldn't leave Pontypandy for anything. I still have the mines left. I hopped into Hydrus and drove to the entrance of the mine. It was starting to get windy and cold. That's strange, it's only summer. I walked into the mine entry.

"Sam! Where are you?!" I called. I walked further into the mines. That's when the wind outside caused a rockfall. Thank goodness I wasn't hurt. But I was trapped inside the mine.

"Well I have no choice but to continue searching." I told myself.

"Sam!" I called. Where on earth could he be?

"Steele to Penny." My radio suddenly said.

"Penny here"

"There's a problem Penny and we need you immediately." Steele said worriedly.
