11 / 01to you vaughn,
You,
An angel at first glance.Your face looks so soft and feels so light. I had to stand awed before you.
The smile; bright and fetching that I stop and stare.
I had to smile myself as well.
The lips of cerise; slightly pudgy but slim enough, I wonder how you always have such a tint than I do at most times.
Your eyes like honey, lighter in shade than mine of coffee, the brown of it swirled with innocence yet
glinted with invitation.
I had to catch my breath beforeyou take them away– before you take everything away.
You,
A beam of sunlight that makes my day.
Your warmth envelopes me wholly,
my body and yours could have such a stasis.
My insides sizzles with overwhelming summersaults,
I get too cozy with the feeling.
The voice like a hum of a gush of air in the night,
I close my eyes just as I’m soothed by it.
Unknowingly being lulled to
an empty void that is to come. The sound of your happiness reverberates through me,
like sonatas of cellos and violins.
I have to have it undeniably good
and pure like cold water on a hot day.
Then you became lukewarm.You,
The calm before a storm.Your thoughts are a raging mess of uncertainty.
And at first I understood why
you couldn’t say anything to
your friends to defend me,
I had to stay away – now, I had to go altogether. You,
My bitersweet tragedy.Your attention was divided as ever.
I was at one hemisphere yet you were
pursuing on the other side. It came to a point
where you had to choose between
the present and the future,
Soon between me and the other.
Your devotion is sincere yet inconsistent.
I seemed to believe that until 11:11,
you’d still be awake with me.
But you only last an hour or two –
Or a month.
Sometime later, it cost me
a heart and a dignity to pay the price for my redemption.
