'thirty-nine
haechan leaped into mark's arms as soon as the door opened, almost toppling the latter over. the two stumbled into the small apartment complex, and mark kicked the door shut.
"welcome to my place," he breathed, pulling away from the young boy and showing him the small vicinity with his wide-open arms. "it's nothing great, but it's cheap."
mark wasn't wrong; his place had bare, white walls encapsulating them into a room which would feel stuffy with more than five people, and the only furniture in the main area was a seemingly oversized couch and an old television set with dust collecting on its top edge.
"it's perfect," haechan whispered as mark slowly wrapped an arm around his waist.
"let me show you my room," he said, leading him through a doorway into an even smaller room. again, the only amenities seemed much too big for the tiny space. the bed and dressing table left just enough room to squeeze in between to the far end of the room, where a sliding door to a compact balcony stood.
"it's so small," haechan thought aloud. "i love it."
"charming," mark retorted. "i'm just glad i found it so quick. are you hungry?"
"a little," haechan admitted, and the two trailed back into the living room. mark headed into the kitchen while haechan sat on the sofa.
"oh, by the way," mark called, "how did it go with your parents?"
haechan felt his heart drop. "not great."
a silence followed, before mark muttered, "well shit."
he walked into the living room and sat down right next to him. "were they not happy?"
"pretty far from it," he nodded, looking down. "everything was just wrong. it didn't feel... right."
mark reached for haechan's chin, using his index finger to tilt his head up. "look at me, hyuck."
the younger boy complied, meeting mark's strong gaze as he spoke. "we'd be living in utopia if they were the least bit happy. the good thing is you're not hiding anything from them anymore. they'll come around, because at the end of the day, you're still their son. i'm proud of you."
haechan smiled as mark leaned forward and pressed a chaste kiss on his lips. haechan grabbed onto his bicep before he could get up and pulled him closer, kissing him again. he shifted his weight onto mark, straddling him.
"want to get down and dirty?" mark suggested mischievously as he broke the kiss, causing haechan to roll his eyes.
"i consent," he replied, and mark reached a hand up to run his fingers through haechan's locks as the two pressed themselves against each other once more. mark started breathing harder as he kissed haechan deeper, his hands hurriedly exploring his body.
"take it off," he muttered hastily, tugging at the hem of haechan's shirt as he did the same. he attacked his collarbone hungrily as he unbuckled his pants, prompting haechan to copy without pulling away. all clothing, with the exception of boxers, was discarded into a careless sprawl on the floor as the younger boy pushed mark's bare chest down onto the couch, smirking victoriously as he sat on top of him.
"isn't this just nice," he teased, running his fingers down mark's toned stomach. "wow, you really are a work of art."
mark huffed as he turned them both over and tugged at the waistband of haechan's briefs. the younger boy slid out of them, suddenly feeling awkward in front of his boyfriend.
mark, noticing this, couldn't help but chuckle. "shy, are we?"
haechan's cheeks warmed up as he lightly shoved at mark's chest. "shut up, i haven't done this before."
"neither have i," he replied nonchalantly, letting haechan pull down his boxers. he leaned down and kissed him once more.
"hyuck," he mumbled, "i love you."
the younger boy couldn't help but smile, slowly rubbing his hands against mark's chest. "i love you more."
he felt true to his words; haechan loved mark more than he could ever imagine. keeping it in mind, haechan let mark leave bites and scratches all over him as the two engulfed themselves in each other.
