[Hide]

Cold sweat started to form around the young girl's pale face. Hands shaking with fear, she huddled under a table and waited.

The heavy air and the ominous darkness seem to suffocate her. She tried to rid herself of morbid thoughts but to no avail failed to do so. Her shaking hands covered her ears in a protective stance.

Paranoia settled at the back of her mind.

The room was dim-lighted. The moon shining outside was her only light source. Shifty eyes gazed on the surroundings. The girl assumed that she's on some sort of abandoned club room inside a school building. Dust piled everywhere.

She had no memories or whatsoever of how she got into such situation. And forcing herself to remember only made her wince in pain. Her head felt like an egg tossed hard in solid pavement.

Several minutes of silence passed and that somehow calmed her nerves.

Then, something emanated from the hallway. Footsteps and clinking of metal chains. Her heartbeat doubled. Her breathing shortened. A lump on her throat felt like someone's trying to strangle her. She felt nausea taking over again.

The young girl was tired of running away. Mental and physical exhaustion dulled her will to escape. But she cannot single-handedly destroy the thing. All her energy were spent. She had no choice but to hide and hope that it will not find her.

Since childhood, she greatly despised hide and seek. Now, she understood why.
