[Hit]

But something hit me.

A thought suddenly hit me, to be specific.

“I ain't sleeping with you two around." I demanded.

“Come on, Lou. It's just me! Oh, and him." He looked at Raven like he doesn't want him there.

“Don't mind me." Raven said. He set himself on the sofa and turned his back at us.

“I'll sleep on the other room."

“Princess, it's safer if you'll stay on the same room with us. What if suddenly, that thing crept around here unknowingly? It's best if we stick around protecting each other's backs." He explained with conviction.

“Stop calling me princess."

I shifted my weight uncomfortably. It's not like I don't trust Will. He's a jerk, yes, but a good jerk. I was just uncomfortable knowing  I'll sleep with men in the same room. But it's the least of my concern now, knowing that there's a monster out there trying to eat us.

“Well?" Will tapped the side of his bed and grinned mischievously.

“I'll kick your balls off once you tried something." I sent him a death glare while setting myself on the other bed.

“Oohhh. Scary." Will chuckled.

“Shut up." I grunted as I pulled the bedsheets.

“Good night~"

Definitely, nothing's good at this night.

Hours passed yet I can't even get a wink of sleep. I am not used to this,  sleeping in other people's room. And the mere fact of sleeping with men in the same room bothered me more. But the thing that kept me on counting sheep most was the thought of the monster's appearance. I tossed to and fro as shivers ran down my spine.

Trying to distract myself from the disturbing thoughts, I focused on my surroundings. Pitter-patter of the downpour was still imminent, matching the sound of deep breathing made by Will. I cannot see Raven in my line of sight so I shifted position.

He's not there?

I pulled the bedsheets off and  tottered towards the sofa. I assumed he must be on the bathroom.

But I haven't heard any sound of a door creaking.

Disconcerted and confused, I cocked my head to one side and held my chin with my right hand.

Weird.

I was about to turn when I sensed a warm breath near my ear sending tingles throughout my body.

“Looking for something?"

“Ahh!" I almost jumped in surprise. He looked at me questioningly as I placed a hand on my chest, making me look like getting a heart attack.

“How dare you sca-" I was cut off mid sentence. He was only wearing jeans now, exposing his well-toned body. I think I was red as a tomato as I gulped.

“I dare what?" His eyes scrutinizing my reaction.

“N-nothing." I looked away, embarrassed by the fact that I was stuttering. I limped ahead towards my bed and pulled the sheets covering me from head to toe. I mentally slapped myself and cursed.

Did I just heard him chuckle? Uggh..this is the worst night ever.

The thought of Raven chuckling circulated my mind all night before I finally got some shut eye. There's something charming about his chuckle. It felt like a sinful melody- forbidden to the senses yet so alluring. A manly sound that made me feel butterflies on my belly. Logical reasoning was ebbing away from my psyche as I lulled myself to sleep. Of course, I will thought otherwise on the time I got my sane thinking back.

Awake and aware.
