Mandy's POV.

I sat outside a meat smoke house taking in the savoring BBQ smells of the meat that was being cooked. I have been on my own since I was a child. Both of my parents were dead or so far as I knew of. And I was raised by abusive family members so I fled for my life. It has been raining and it's in the middle of the winter season so I was freezing, shaking and close to death.

I sat outside on a bust stop bench to get out of the rain, no money on me and I was starving. I haven't eaten weeks. I would at times if I was lucky get at least something to eat once a day but I couldn't find anything to eat. I began to cry out of hunger and frustration. I eventually gave up and left he bus stop to stop the endless torture of smelling the meat that was cooking across the street. I walked the streets in the freezing rain, no where to sleep if I got lucky enough I would find an abandoned car or building and sleep in it or something.

I came across a trash can filled of half eaten cupcakes by an old cupcake shop so I grabbed a few and ate them no matter how sick I might get later I knew I was close to dying. I was dehydrated, malnourished, my hair all matted, my green eyes probably looked lifeless by this point. but the only thing that still stood out about me was my olive colored skin.

I walked and walked trying to take in some of the rain so I could get some water in me. I made my way to tent no one lived in it as far as I knew. If they had they would have let other homeless people know that this was their territory.

I crawled inside to get out of the rain while I sobbed quietly to myself hoping and waiting for death to come for me.

Adam's POV.

I had told my family back home deep in the woods that was surrounded by beautiful mountains that I would be back in two weeks time to find my oldest son a girl. They all wished me luck and I had gone from bars, to hotels, to restaurants, to any place I could find a working girl around. No prostitutes at all did I interview. I wanted the best for my son. It was pouring rain now and it was freezing cold. I drove and drove for a while wanting to get myself something to eat and some hot cocoa. I was about to pull in to a small diner when I saw her.

A young girl who appeared to be starving. I could tell that she was malnourished and dehydrated. Her hair all matted up and such. But she had beauty I saw it. We would fatten her up pretty well to be healthy. She had beautiful olive colored skin. Her green eyes so bright and gorgeous. Her smile was bright as well, and she was just beautiful I could tell my son would be happy to have her. I watched her go into some dirty tent and I knew I had to get her. I would buy her some dinner and something hot to drink before taking her back to the house. I smiled and got out of my truck heading over to the tent. I did a slight knock on the tent more like thumping on the fabric hoping she would hear.
