THE BRONKS

TIMMY'S POV.

Shortly after dad and I got the house boarded up and Ron brought in the wood we all made sure all of our rooms were safe which everything was looking good. Within an hour the blizzard storm hit us, and once again it would be a long while before we could find any meat. We all sat in the living room huddled together in blankets near the fire to keep warm which was proving difficult. The wind was so strong it was blowing the fire around.

As we sat together the fire went out, and then the lights began to flicker before shutting off completely. Ron got out of the huddle to try and light the fire once again. "Ron be careful!" Mom shouted. "I will be mom." Ron shouted back. I held onto Melody's hands she was shaking and crying. She was scared, storms scared her and so did being in the dark.

"It's ok little sister." I said hugging her while she leaned her head onto my chest. Before we knew it Ron got the fire going again. "I got it!" He shouted with joy. Hopefully the windows would stand and our house. I thought to myself. That's when I remembered the attic. My eyes grew wide, the window. I hadn't closed it. Before I could say a word we heard what sounded like a loud crash come from upstairs and a bunch of snow started to blow in and we were freezing even worse by this point.

JOHN'S CABIN

"Get over here Steele and help with this door now!" John screamed. Steele ran over to help John hold the door shut while John nailed it shut. "I can dig the nails out later." Said John. Mandy sat in a chair rubbing her belly trying to keep herself calm. The windows started to crack and break by this point. Mandy saw this and screamed as the storm blew her off of her chair with the glass flying at her. A piece of glass came flying at her and had cut her cheek with a big piece of wood flying into the room knocking her out.

"Mandy!" John yelled, "John stay put, I can't hold this door shut alone." Steele spoke in a firm voice. "She's my girl." "I know but nail in one last piece of board and the door will stand, then you can go help her." John went back to the door nailing it shut one last time and the door stopped moving by then.

John ran over to Mandy who was laying on the floor knocked out. He felt for a pulse and she was still alive. John picked Mandy up taking her over to the couch and laying her down when Steele came over to look at her. "She's gonna need stitches." He said. He took some peroxide and some gaws and needle and thread. "Can you fix her? Do you know when she'll wake up?" John asked in a panic. "She'll be fine John. She just needs rest. I got this just give me some space." Steele spoke firmly again.

John backed up kicking tables and chairs around in anger. The storm was still blowing outside really hard. He took a beer out of the fridge and started drinking it. Steele stitched up Mandy's cheek using the peroxide to clean the wound before stitching her up and to clean the blood off of her. He took about forty five minutes to do this but he got her all cleaned up. He checked her head for any injuries when he got an ice pack and place it on her head. "She'll be fine just let her rest and keep her warm for the baby's sake. She'll be fine and the baby will be fine." Said Steele.

MEANWHILE BACK AT THE BRONKS'S.

"Timmy go up stairs and try to close up the attic window." Said Adam. Timmy ran up to the attic with plies of wood and some nails and a hammer. He nailed the attic window shut as well as for the door. Snow was all over the house and stairs Sarah swept up the snow trying to be as fast as she could be since it was freezing. Ron was trying desperately to get the fire to start again when The snow storm blew in not giving Ron enough time to get out o the way and fire was blown into his right eye burning it. He cried out in pain and agony while the fire was eating away at his skin and his eye.

"Get some cold snow Sarah hurry!" Adam called out. Sarah took the snow that was blown into the house putting it all in a bowl. "What happened?" She asked in a panic when she saw Ron's eye. She quickly took some clothes and snow and put it over his eye. "This is gonna hurt Ron I'm sorry baby." She said through tears as she put the snow on his eye while Timmy and Adam held him down to keep him from fighting since he was gonna be in pain. The skin around his eye was now gone and disgusting looking. The flesh was cooked while his eye ball was all red and just not the same now.

Before he could say anything he passed out from the pain. "His eye, what we do?" Melody asked. "I don't know. We'll have to try and heal it ourselves. When the snow stops then we collect more in a bowl. Until then we are stuck here, cold and no lights. But I do have an idea. I'll get a metal pain and we'll keep the fire going best as we can." Said Adam. He got the metal pan and put some of the wood they still had in it and lighting the fire and thankfully it worked. "The weather should let up by tomorrow morning." Said Timmy. They all huddled together keeping Ron covered to keep him warm.

BACK AT JOHN'S CABIN.

Steele and John sat together in a couple of chairs while Mandy was still out. "She'll wake up soon. But she could be out for a day. Until then, she still needs to be fed and watered. So we'll have to try and feed her. She'll be alright. I am a doctor so I know what all I've learned." Said Steele. "Thanks for saving her, you're um. You're a good kid." Said John who cleared his throat. "Yeah? Thanks. You seem to care a lot for her." Said Steele. "I do. She's my love. I will do anything to protect her. Well looks like the storm is lighting up a bit. I'll take her and we'll go to bed. You get to your. But um, I guess I can keep it unlocked just this once, just in case I might need you." Said John. "Thanks John, I really appreciate it." "Don't make me regret it. Good night." John carried Mandy to bed and he crawled in to keep her warm while Steele went to his bed and hopped int to get warm quick. Good thing John had generators to keep the cabin warm because without them they would have no lights. "I'll be out of here soon enough." Steele said before closing his eyes and going to sleep.
