Mike POV
It's the first day of school. I wonder how this year will play out. I hope it's different. Maybe I will have the courage to come out at school. The only people at school who know I'm bi are lucas and Dustin, my best friends. I'm more gay than bi though. I've had crushes on boys more than girls. The only reason I think I'm bi and not gay is because I once dated Jane Hopper and I really loved her. But we are old history because she started liking a girl named max Mayfield and I'm like like who the fuck is that. Turns out that she's one of her best friends. I cryed for like a week after that. As I'm walking through the hallways I see this kid getting bullied by troy, the school bully. Now most of the time I just walk past it but all I hear is the word fag and I run towards him and I jump on his back and tackle him to the ground. Then once he's out of the way I check to see if his victim is ok and I see the cutest boy I've ever seen in my life. "Thank you" he says to me, god I love his voice. "N-no problem" I stutter out. "what's your name?" He asked me "Mike. Mike wheeler. What's yours?" I ask him "will byers" he says. "Will Byers how come I've never heard your name before?" I ask him "most likely because I'm a quiet gay kid who only has 2 friends and your a popular football player" he answers me "are we friends" I ask him "I guess so" he answers "cool. I like that" I said back
And that was the beginning of a beautiful friendship and a change in fate wether the two boys knew it or not.
