aspen smiled slightly as he watched the leaves change color and fall from the trees of the forest that surrounded the earth palace, fall was one of his favorite times of year with only spring topping it. watching the leaves falling and flying away saddened him a bit as it reminded him of the hunt still going on.

none of the deserters had been found yet even with both the nature spirits and the hunters working together in their searches, wherever they are the mortals had been hidden very well though the large gatherings of monster tracks confirmed their fears of the monsters working with the titans. Artemis and her hunters were traking the mosters as they were easier to hunt down than the mortals and the huntress was sure they would be led straight to their main camp where the demi gods were hiding out.

while the hunt for the deserters was not going as well as they wanted it to their plans to keep the remaining children on their side was going greatly as not only were the demi gods much happier with the set up the gods themselves were much happier now that they were allowed to interact with their children, thankfully with Athena's plan there was no chance of the gods getting into a fight or a squabble that wouldn't look good in front of the demi gods.

the schedule they had planned out was posted up in the camp all summer so the demigods would know when certain gods would be at the camp so even those who went back to their families and schools for the rest of the year would know when their godly parent was going to be in camp so they could come and visit for the weekend.

stepping away from the window aspen walked over and flopped down on his bed, there was just something about samhain that made him want to curl up and sleep. it had started a few years ago but he had never really thought much about it until this year, his mother had taken him aside at the beginning of October and warned him that he was going to become tired very easily as the winter continues but the worst days for it would be on the solstices such as samhain and yule.

while he wouldn't hibernate during the winter even after his mother faded he would easily get tired and simply have less energy than when it was spring or summer thanks to the fact that most of the earth went into hibernation during the winter. aspen hated the sluggish feeling that seemed to be creeping over his limbs as it was worse this year than it had ever been before and it simply made him want to lay around the palace or curl up under his blankets to nap the day away.

after he spent the first few days of autumn laying around and catching quick naps between his meetings with the nature spirits that kept him updated on the hunt for the demi gods aspen had given in and finally asked his mother if it was always like this for her during the winter season. the older goddess had laughed at his exhausted and lethargic tone as she explained that it was only this bad for him because his connection to the earth was still growing, once he was fully connected his body would get used to the natural cycle that the earth went through making it easier for him to ignore how tired the winter season made him feel.

just as he was about to fall asleep for a small nap aspen felt a bolt of energy sing thru him.

sitting up in shock at the bolt of energy that had just gone thru his body aspen closed his eyes and stretched out his senses as he tried to figure out what it was he had just felt, after a few moments aspen was about to lay down again though he was still confused about what had caused that jolt of energy when he felt it again.

now that he was focusing on the feeling he could tell that some one was trying to summon him, while the pull wasn't very strong yet and he could fight it off if he wanted to aspen was curious about who would be summoning him. since the pull wasn't very strong yet he knew it wasn't another god or titan that was trying to pull him somewhere but that left only the mortals and there were very few who would know how, let alone that they could summon him, as the tugging pull of energy began to get more insistent aspen finally decided to let the pull take him with it just to see what would happen.
