"So what's the deal with you and Johnny boy?"
I looked down at the hoodie, then back up at him. Letting my shoulders fall down.
"It'd be a bad time to ask him for anything, he still has a small connection with Layla. I honestly don't see why though! She was cheating on him the whole time. From the fucking start. He was such a mess when he found out!" I answered.
Let me be honest with you, after confessing to my old crush. He started bullying me cause if admitting that I was gay. John got protective of me, and it was kinda hot to look at, but back to the point.
I kinda developed a tiny crush on him, but he was still together with Layla.
I was the first that found out that she was cheating on him, cause I walked in on her and the other guy just casually getting it on in one of the spare classrooms that's never used. I only had to get some papers that the teacher left there, but what a pleasant surprise it was opening up the door to the sound of well..... Moans.
That makes me shiver every time I remember it.
Basically afterwards I kept telling him that she is not who she seems. That she might be cheating on him, cause I know he would react immediately if I told him the truth.
But then she'd accuse me of having feelings for him, and that I only said that cause I don't want them to be together anymore. Bla, bla, bla...
You get the point, right?
Now back to the situation.
"What happened to him?" Rikki asked, a worried look on his face.
"He kept smoking all day, didn't eat, put out the cigarettes on his arm. So kind of just, hurt himself more."
That is only half the things, he kept lying, saying he was okay, but we know not all people are okay after a 2 year relationship of only cheating.
"Damn, poor guy. Guess she really fucked him up if he went that far." He said back.
We both turned to the door as someone knocked again.
"Come in." I answered, watching it slowly open.
Joanna peaked inside, a small smile on her face.
"The food will be ready, just watch out downstairs cause the little kids made a mess." She said.
"Thanks for coming to tell us-"
"IS THAT?!" she zoomed into the room, closing the door too.
She grabbed the rainbow fabric out of the bag, staring at it in amazement.
"How did you manage to sneak that in without anyone noticing a thing?" Jo asked, staring between me and Rikki.
"Honestly, I don't know how Rikki did it, but I am fucking amazed that he did." Was my answer.
If you couldn't tell by now, his small ego was getting feed good today.
"Anyway," she started, "don't forget about the food. I made the desserts, which I believe are both of your favourites. Chocolate chip pancakes right?" Joanna tilted her head with a smirk slowly forming.
"Did I ever tell you that I would never replace anyone as my sibling? And that you are the most amazing sister that I ever had and you'll stay with me forever as siblings" I said back to her.
I could already feel my mouth water just by imaging the stack of the pancakes. Add even more sugar with Nutella and you get me with no sleep visible in my eyes.
"Wait a sec, are her chocolate chip pancakes that good?" Rikki whispered after she walks out the room.
I nod at him and get up, "Now come on, I haven't eaten anything yet today. I need some food to stay up all night with you and John."
