Stuff Happens (Sesshomaru X OC)

Chapter Twelve

~Akane~

Rin had once again ran off ahead in search of food, Jaken had went after and i followed as i caught the scent of wolves in the air, that's right with my demonic power back all of my superior senses are back too, though it took this long to get used to all the crazy scents.

Anyway i got to the river and saw a bunch of wolves and a couple of wolf demons with them "Akane!"Rin called hiding behind my leg and grabbing my pants, i didn't take my eyes off the wolves though, it was no wonder she was scared, she was killed by wolves after all i figured it was specifically these wolves which meant they were being controlled back then too by their leader.

I glared at the wolves "You should leave this area immediately"i told them, i saw the two demons flinch and ignored them as they made some sort of stupid display, Sesshomaru walked over just then "Jaken what's all this commotion?"he asked.

"Who are you and what do you want?"One of the demons asked "You looking for a fight?"the other asked and Sesshomaru narrowed his eyes at them making the two and their pack of wolves flee, i pouted a bit.

"How come your glare scared them off but mine didn't?"i asked "Probably because they thought that since you're a woman you're not much of a threat" Sesshomaru said, i scoffed actually offended that's the one thing i hate about this era, all the sexist men, i'm glad Sesshomaru is different though "Rin weren't you supposed to catch some fish?"Sesshomaru asked "Yes"Rin smiled and nodded.

We ran into the two wolf demons from earlier blocking the road as we were heading north east "This road is closed you cannot pass"one of them said "Turn around and take another route"the other said Sesshomaru wasn't budging though and then those two started fighting each other trying to scare him off i guess, i just sweatdropped, you'd think they would have more dignity then this being demons and all, though i suppose since their just some dirty wolves they wouldn't know anything about that.

Sesshomaru glared at them "Make way"he simply said "You go elsewhere"one of them said "Nothing to see here move along"the other said, i sweatdropped again honestly these morons aren't even worth killing, "I told you to make way"Sesshomaru said walking over to them.

The two of them talked about driving away someone named Koga then i heard "Somebody looking for me?" and the two wolf demons greeted this new person as Koga.

So this is the one that killed Rin, honestly he doesn't seem like much but i know better then to underestimate someone "Who are you? What do you want?"Koga asked before jumping down.

"He reeks like that filthy mutt Inuyasha"Koga said, i heard Rin gasp in realisation "Lord Sesshomaru"she said in a scared tone of voice "That's him Koga, Inuyasha's older brother" one of the other wolf demons said.

"So you're Inuyasha's brother? I don't think I've heard of you though woman" he said, i glared a bit at him "I have a name and it's Akane"i said, Koga scoffed "Your scent is covered with his, very clever hiding yourself like that"he said smirking a bit.

I decided not to reply to that cause saying what i had in mind would involve revealing the fact that Sesshomaru and i are mates "At least you two aren't half demons like Inuyasha"Koga said and Sesshomaru walked forward  "Seems like i struck a nerve"Koga said "Stand back with Rin, Akane"he said.

I backed off over to Rin and watched what would happen just then a demon barrelled out of the woods demanding for jewel shards Sesshomaru easily cut it down though "Thanks but i could've handled it myself"Koga said, he didn't do it to help you, just then another demon appeared and went to attack Rin, i easily destroyed it with my claws bedore it even got close to her.

"Unnecessary interference " Sesshomaru said referring to the demons that attacked "Feelings mutual"Koga said before he left with  the other wolf demons, i walked over to Sesshomaru "You know his wolves were the ones that attacked Rin"i told him "If he had tried the same thing today i would of killed him, that's the same reason you didn't kill him either is it not?"he asked.

I didn't reply but yeah my reasoning was the same, with that done Sesshomaru continued walking and i followed with Rin closely behind.
