Stuff Happens (Sesshomaru X OC)

Chapter Twenty Eight

~Akane~

We made it back to Rin and the rest but Inuyasha and his group was also there Kohaku told us what happened "This is exactly why i was hesitant to leave"i said turning to Sesshomaru "As i recall you insisted on coming along"Sesshomaru said "No you were the one who insisted i come with"i said.

"Really? I don't remember that"Sesshomaru said with a smirk, i growled glaring at him "Very funny, just for that i'm not gonna sleep with you"i said turning away from him with a huff"Then you were going to?"Sesshomaru asked surprised "I was in the mood but now i'm in a different mood"i said before i was suddenly pulled into him "How about if i get you back in the mood?"he asked "Pervert"I said pushing him away.

I turned to see we had an audience and blushed remembering the others were still there, Sesshomaru cleared his throat but was clearly a little embarrassed he had let his brother especially see that side of him before he went back to serious mode, i thought back to what happened before we returned.

We were standing on a cliff over looking the sea "Shouldn't you two be getting back?"i heard and Sesshomaru attacked with the Meido Zangetsuha, it was that guy with the paper cranes again, he had approach from down wind so we didn't notice him until he spoke up "Now please hear me out, i have something for you lord Sesshomaru"he said.

"Oh? and what is that?"Sesshomaru asked "I understand you're having a bit of trouble with your sword"the reincarnation said landing next to us as we turned to face the sea, it was then i noticed i was the same height as him but still shorter then Sesshomaru "Don't glare at me i know everything that happened"the reincarnation said.

"I even know that Tenseiga was originally a part of Inuyasha's Tessaiga"The reincarnation said "That maybe true but what business is it of yours?"Sesshomaru asked striking the guy with his hand since i was on his left side, the guy turned into a flower which then disappeared, Sesshomaru opened his hand to reveal a mirror shard, i could sense demonic energy from it and it also had the scent of Naraku lingering on it.

"What you hold is a fragment of Kanna's mirror demon, if you shatter it and spread it across Tenseiga you will be able to capture Tessaiga's abilities and make them your own"the reincarnation told us flying away on a paper crane.

~flashback end~

I had no idea what Sesshomaru was planning as he drew Tenseiga and told Inuyasha to draw as well, maybe now that he had mastered Meido Zangetsuha and gotten his answers he thought to just get it over and done with and have Inuyasha absorb Tenseiga back into Tessaiga, though it seemed he wasn't going to make it easy.

I jumped over to where Inuyasha's group was with Rin and Kohaku and watched as the brothers started fighting again "Alright Sesshomaru what's going on? Why can i smell Naraku's scent on your sword?"Inuyasha asked "Actually that would be my scent"the reincarnation said as he appeared.

"Byakuya"Sango, Kohaku's sister said, so that's this reincarnations name, he told them what had happened on our way back "Lord Sesshomaru why? He's evil don't listen to what he says!"Rin yelled "It's alright Rin"i said "Huh? What do you mean Akane?"Rin asked "Sesshomaru knows full well this is a trap but it's a trap he's willing to spring all to have a chance to get Tessaiga, see it's not as easy as Inuyasha likes to think for Sesshomaru to let go of Tessaiga, in a way the sword is an image of the power his father held and he wants to defeat that power, rather he wants to defeat his father, that's Sesshomaru's true desire"i said before Byakuya made the brothers disappear to how knows where.

Totosai appeared on his cow and tapped its head showing us what's happening wherever Sesshomaru and Inuyasha went to, we couldn't do anything but watch as the brothers fought countering each other with the same moves when Sesshomaru opened a meido and Inuyasha hurdled into it, i think Sesshomaru wanted to see if Inuyasha truly could handle this power i was surprised as Sesshomaru tossed Tenseiga into the void as well.

Everyone seemed so sure Inuyasha would understand Tessaiga's will to be whole again, i was too but i had a feeling that wouldn't end well for Sesshomaru, i think even if he wouldn't admit it he'd be hurt to see Tessaiga be completed in Inuyasha's hands, it might be even harder for Sesshomaru to let go of Tessaiga after this, "Sesshomaru"i muttered concerned.

 Then Naraku took control of Tenseiga thanks to the mirror fragments on it and Sesshomaru leapt into the meido as well, Sesshomaru grabbed Tenseiga again and i watched what would happen next, the brothers clashed again and again and the fragments came off Tenseiga and it broke returning the Meido Zangetsuha to Tessaiga.

"It doesn't make sense, it looked like Sesshomaru broke Tenseiga on purpose"Kagome said "He did"i simply said and continued to watch i bit my lip as Sesshomaru started to disappear but Inuyasha opened a path just in time i went over to Sesshomaru and hugged him, he briefly hugged me back wrapping his arm around me "Lord Sesshomaru i'm overcome with grief for Tenseiga to be absorbed into Tessaiga like that"Jaken cried.

"I do not care, we're leaving"Sesshomaru said letting go of me"Hold on Sesshomaru i suppose you find little constellation in it now but i suggest you take it, Tenseiga is still a powerful sword of healing"Totosai said going over to the sword and picking it up "You may not be satisfied with a sword that cannot cut but Tenseiga is powerful for it heals"he said.

"So what? I'm supposed to go around healing people now? Don't be ridiculous"Sesshomaru said walking away, i stayed back a bit waiting on Rin as she took Tenseiga from Totosai "I'll give it to him when he's in a better mood"she said before we caught up with Sesshomaru and continued our way.
