𝐓𝐇𝐄 𝐌𝐎𝐎𝐍𝐋𝐈𝐆𝐇𝐓 poured into the cluttered room, the silver rays leaving sparkles in minho's eyes. it was another one of those nights; another night with the familiar feeling of a strange body curled up next to the blue-headed male. minho turned over, facing the sleeping body next to him that remained nameless. he had blonde, curly hair, a sharp jaw, and thick lips. he was cute, no, scratch that, drop dead gorgeous, but he had no meaning to minho. sad, isn't it?
minho pulled the navy blue sheets from his exposed body, grabbing a grey oversized sweater that had been thrown over the lamp, putting it on as he walked out of the room. he never said goodbye to anyone he woke up next to. it was always a one night stand with minho, feelings were never involved; it was just how he liked it. no commitment, no love, no responsibility. minho was never fond of relationships after his ex. his heart was shattered, his life fell apart, and he would sleep with whoever he deemed attractive enough and never see them again.
to say minho's apartment was a mess would be an understatement. beer, liquor, and champagne bottles were everywhere (emphasizes on the liquor), take out leftovers remained on every surface, making the smell of the tiny house even worse, dirty clothes created piles upon piles, a box of blue dye rested next to the sink, the dark color painting the kitchen sink and counter-top.
minho made his way to the sink, picking up the empty box and examining it thoroughly. "wh-when did i...?" the confused boy look in the left direction, seeing his own reflection in the mirror hanging on the wall. blue dye coated his hair, face, and neck. well, blue wasn't the only color that remained there. dark purple spots were highly noticeable, as well as the more red ones that seemed to only be darkening the longer they sat on minho's milky skin.
a tired groan and the bedroom door opening tore minho from his daze, looking up to see the blonde exiting his room. they met gazes, minho giving him a small, shy smile.
"do you know where my other shoe went?" the blonde asked, lifting up couch cushions and trying to put on his jacket at the same time.
"if i can't even remember dying my hair i probably can't remember where your shoe is," minho replied, throwing all the trash around him into the nearby bin.
the blonde snickered, finally pulling his shoe from underneath the couch, "you really don't remember much, do you?"
minho shook his head, a sassy "no shit, sherlock" in response to the unnamed male.
"well, you took me home, not without buying some liquor beforehand. while we were still shopping, you picked up some blue hair dye. i didn't ask why, but later you asked me to help you with it. you got all depressed and then told me to get your mind off of it, you can probably guess how."
a small blush dusted over minho's cheeks at the mention. he crossed his arms over his chest, leaning back against the countertop. the blonde quickly put his shoes back on, minho raising an eyebrow at his actions.
"why are you in such a hurry? am i that hideous?" minho joked, a smirk curving at his lips.
"of course not, you're gorgeous. my shift starts in like fifteen minutes."
"shift?"
the blonde looked up, putting his other arm through his jacket sleeve as he stood from the couch, "i work at a bar called luna's."
"really? but i go there all the time, why don't i ever see you?"
"just started last night."
minho mouthed an 'o', running his hands through his newly dyed hair, cringing at the crunchy texture. he pulled his fingers back to examine all the blue that coated them.
"by the way, i'd take a shower now before all that dye becomes too hard to wash out," chan suggested, smirking as he grabbed his phone from the counter and exiting minho's messy apartment.
minho chuckled slightly, looking into the mirror once again before uncrossing his arms and dragging his feet into the bathroom. it was equally as destroyed, more dye boxes, more beer cans, and even more clothes that minho refused to wash. minho sighed, starting the shower. as he removed his sweater, he couldn't help but stare at the color that painted his hair.
"you got all depressed and then told me to get your mind off of it"
he knew. he remembered.
his ex had the same colored hair when they first started dating; when they were in the phase where they couldn't keep their hands off each other, when they were so in love.
he dyed it back to brown only a couple weeks before they broke up. every time minho saw that color on someone else's head, it only reminded him of the time when he was happy.
"i can't keep living like this..."
minho threw his sweater to the ground with force, slowly entering the shower. he hissed at the sudden heat, turning the knob to a more relaxing temperature. leaning against the wall, minho closed his eyes, letting the spray of hot water relax his body. it added a dull pressure against the bruises from earlier that night, causing slight discomfort that minho tried to ignore.
he soon felt a familiar heat fill his eyes, a mixture of warm water and warm tears rapidly fell down his cheeks. minho never had a specific reason to cry like he did, but maybe except for the fact that his life was completely wrecked. he didn't know whether or not to turn everything around and become sober, or if he wanted to keep living in misery until his final days.
tough choice, isn't it?
