𝐓𝐇𝐄 𝐒𝐌𝐎𝐊𝐄 filled minho's lungs, a heavy pressure building inside his chest. he blew out large, vaporized rings, the cigarette warming his fingertips. he had yet to see chan working behind the bar, constantly worried that the older wasn't going to show. he did however spot felix throughout the night, his heart still warmed at the note the smaller left on his bedside table. besides hyunjin, minho hasn't received much care from any other people, even if it was a small gesture. this was probably due to the fact that minho pushes everyone away that he encounters, too scared to open up and let anyone through. he couldn't commit to trusting another person.
finally, a panting chan rushed in through the back door, hair in disarray, cheeks rosy from the cold that was just nipping at his pale skin. felix smiled at his friend's worried expression.
"has hyung noticed that i've been gone?"
felix smirked, placing the newly-cleaned glass atop the shelf, "well, considering the fact you've been gone for an hour and a half, he's been by here a couple of times asking where you were." chan cursed under his breath, rushing to the employees only room and disappearing for a few moments.
felix's eyes never left minho; he was constantly gazing at the older boy, somehow fascinated by his appearance. minho noticed a long time ago, but enjoyed the attention nonetheless, so he let felix do it for as long as he pleased. finally, he looked up from his phone, matching gazes with the blonde. felix blushed, looking away almost instantly to return to taking orders.

minho had been at the bar for at least two hours now. he had come in shortly before happy hour started, so chan and felix were too busy to notice him much. people still stayed even after that hour ended, so the boys stayed on their feet.
minho thought multiple times if he should just leave, but each time he pulled out his wallet to pay for his drinks, chan eyed him from wherever he was standing, which caused the younger to put it right back into his pocket.
it was starting to get late, and the constant shots minho took didn't seem to help his boredom like he had hoped. when chan invited him tonight, minho was expecting a little more action than this - maybe a little conversation at least.
felix seemed to notice the elder's frown. he hurriedly retrieved minho's check, a soft smile curving his lips. "hey, hyung. i'm sorry we were so busy tonight. maybe we could do something later?"
minho gave the blonde a smirk, nodding. felix slowly walked off, trying the hide the blush that was slowly creeping upon his freckled cheeks.
as minho took a quick glance at his check, he noticed almost instantly the pattern of numbers scribbled across the thin paper with the words "-felix" written neatly next to it.

this was mainly just a filler so i apologize for it being so short. i do have a lot of ideas for future chapters, though.
