After saying their goodbyes over the phone, Angelo kept on trying to make sense of why Mike would treat him with so much kindness. And since Angelo was a straightforward person, he decided to ask him in a frank manner.

He lazily rolled out of the comfortable position he was in and walked out of his room. A few turns later he bumped right into one of the many employees that work there. "Hey Angelo, you're up early"

Angelo rolled his eyes and playfully shook his head in response. "Do you know where Mike is?" The worker looked at him shocked as if he was surprised that Angelo didn't know his whereabouts. "Angelo it's the second Monday of this month" He answered like it was the most obvious thing ever.

However, this still didn't answer his question, but Angelo took note of that detail to keep in his mind for later use. "Okay....and that is important because...?"

Something wasn't right here. It felt like a scene in a movie where the audience knows something that the main character does not. Only this time the audience was the worker standing before him and the main character was Angelo.

"Dude, Mike always gets the second Monday off because he has important things he has to settle. Everyone knows that" The worker immediately changed his last few words after seeing the look of disappointment on Angelo's face. "Well, I mean it's really not a big deal or anything. It's just stuff that has to do with his family and finances and stuff like that"

Angelo knew that he was only trying to make him feel better for not knowing, but he hated the fact that he was the only person who didn't know this. "Where is he right now?"

"His house I think, but he never really says where he is going so, I might be wrong"

"Do you have his address on file?" The worker sighed and pulled Angelo off to the side since he caught onto what he had in mind. "Listen, I don't want to be that guy, but if he didn't tell any of us where he is maybe he doesn't want to be found. You can't pry into people's lives when they don't want you to. Mike's life is his business and no one else's"

It angered him to hear those words because he knew that he was right. He can relate to not wanting to be found, but it didn't feel right to just let things go the way it is. Now that he knows that Mike gets the second Monday of every month off, he started having more questions rather than answers.

It was so frustrating to have this amazing human being as a friend and not know a single thing about them personally. All of this was hurting his head, so he left the worker without another word. He didn't do this to be mean; he did this because he felt lost.

His mind was wandering off to different places as his body moved forward. Before he knew it, he was standing in front of his parent's graveyard.

Maybe he needed assistance from his parents on this one. So, he tried his hardest to imagine what his mom or dad would say to him about this situation

You have to be patient, but active. Wait, but listen.

A faint, gentle tone of his mother's voice rang in his mind like a bell. Even though Angelo was skeptical about the afterlife and how spirits worked, he was certain that he heard her. "Thanks, mom"

"Angelo?" A familiar voice called for him from behind. When he turned around, he saw a confused looking Mike stared at him from the trails leading up to the cemetery.

"Mike, where were you?" Angelo asked this as he walked down towards the trail below him. "I was just out for a walk" Why are you lying to me? "Oh okay"

"Yeah....uh, are you okay? Is there something that you want to tell me cuz you don't look very satisfied with my answer?"

To Angelo this was a very hard question to answer. Was he supposed to give him some space and be patient with him? Or was it better for him to ask him about what was going on in his mind and take action?
