Spirit realized that this would be a busy day from the moment he put his hoof out of the stables and Bones darted past him, roaring loudly against a series of obstacles, hitting a pile of tires in full, sending them to the air. That day Spirit had too many thoughts on his mind, really too many to even consider the three snooty ponies and their biting jokes accompanied by languid and superior glances. The beige bull started trotting on the spot before starting to charge again. Angus instead fell in front of him, cursing loudly in a language that Spirit had never heard. Spirit stopped to watch, could not fade otherwise because he had to wait for Ferdinand for adjustments. Angus pushed his hair back from his face and looked at Spirit "well what do you know to look at, ye numpty? "Spirit rolled his eyes and did not answer; he had decided that he would follow Ferdinand's style instead of responding in kind to everything. Angus snorted" you're not answering? you are scared? haha! I can sense it! "exclaimed the other" coward like the others! "and walked away.
"fight a puma and we'll see your level of cowardice compared to mine." grumbled Spirit, head held high. Lupe popped up at that moment "Hey, Angus." She said to the bull "I'll have a chat for a while with Mr.you'll- never-tame-me"
Angus shrugged his shoulders and went back to concentrating to bang his head on the ground. The goat approached the mustang, who looked at her suspiciously. Spirit and Lupe looked at each other "listen, mustang-" she began, Spirit snorted "Spirit. Not mustang. Start learning my name before being boorish." Lupe rolled her eyes "it's not all about you!" She said and for a moment Spirit felt as if it was Esperanza, his mother, talking to him in that tone. He remained silent but looked at her as if to say 'what is the point?'. T
goat went on "I wanna know what's happening because I have the impression that you're distracting Ferdinand." Spirit looked at her "staying here is distracting Ferdinand." he said dryly "none of you asked if he wants to stay here or not, yet you are forcing him to be what he's not."
Lupe shook her head "you're talking based on your experience."
"because both he and I are in the same boat." Spirit didn't shout, strangely. He didn't have to get attention. Lupe looked at him "I wanna know what's going on. And I wanna know now." She said firmly, but Spirit shook his head "it must be him to tell you, not me." he said, equally determined "you're his friend. It's not right for you to find out from a stranger." "Ferd often talks about you. There's not much to say about Rain, I've known her since she was a filly. But he's very intrigued by you." the goat explained, staring at him. Spirit shook his mane; was not as strange as he wanted to be from that news "he considers me a friend, then." He ascertained. Lupe nodded "yes." he said, sitting down "he says you're wild"
"this has long since been established." the stallion resumed, abruptly. "and I'm sick of scuffing with everyone to defend my lifestyle." it wasn't an outlet, just a consideration he had wanted to make for a while. Lupe nodded again "i see." Spirit looked at his surroundings, and for a moment he thought he saw the Cimarron. What if he couldn't escape? What if he stayed there forever? "I just want to go home." He tought out loud,a small tear slid down his cheek. Lupe looked at him in amazement "are you ... crying?" he asked, a little too loudly. The other three horses looked up at the scene. oh man ... they had seen him with red and shiny eyes, and Spirit bet every hair on his mane that now they would not give him more respite. Hans said aloud, and evidently on purpose "if he misses those four tufts of grass that he displays to call prairie, then he is more affected than I thought." he said mockingly. This horse knew nothing else in his life except to taunt others. And that made Spirit very angry. Spirit stood still for a moment, said nothing. He just stood still and metabolized, he gave all the time to his anger of spreading from his stomach to his whole body. Then he suddenly turned " NOW I'VE HAD IT!" he shouted, or rather he nodded, to Klaus. He turned like lightning and rushed at Hans; unlike that day in the stable, where Spirit had only aimed to show some brute strength to make him understand who was in charge, this time Spirit aimed to hurt. The Lipizzan stallion let out a whimper of surprise as he found himself hurled to the ground with a bloody groove on his face, Rain raised his eyes from the distance "what-" the blood froze in seeing "Spirit?"
