(Just a heads up this chapter is going to explain the past about Daybreak, Scythe, their family and the circumstances surrounding Daybreak's disappearance. Also it is Amybrine explaining EVERYTHING to Amy.)
Scythe's POV
Mom, Dad, Daybreak and I are all on Mount Olympus with Will and Grimm because it was time for the Greek summit of rulers. Uncle Zeus wanted to see everyone so whilst the meeting was going on, Daybreak and I played together in the great courtyard with Will and Grimm.
Grimm is only 16, Will is 18, I'm 15 and Daybreak is 12 so yeah she is the baby of the bunch.
"SCYTHE! RACE YOU TO THE TOP OF THE MOUNTAIN!" Daybreak told me then we decided to race.
"Fine but you two girls will lose" Will stated.
"KEEP DREAMING WILLIAM! I WILL WIN!" Grimm added
How did my little sister challenging me to a race, turn into all four of us racing???
"Alright girls. I'll be the referee for you" Hermes stated
"Thanks Hermes" then he went to the top.
We all sprinted as fast as our powers could allow us and surprisingly...DAYBREAK WON?!
"DAYBREAK HOW ARE YOU SO FAST?!" I asked in shock
"Simple. We cats are very agile. Anyways we should head back down before mom and dad start to worry" then we walked back down to the courtyard where we saw some suspicious looking people but we ignored them and walked inside. That is, I walked inside to see my cousins Heracles and Aqua. The children of Zeus and Poseidon.
I was about to say something when I heard a scream come from behind.
"DAYBREAK!" I shouted the bolted outside only to see her in the clutches of the people we were suspicious of.
"LET HER GO!" I yelled but for an answer, I got blasted into a wall. Slamming my back on it.
I blacked out after that
Dusk's POV
I heard something outside so my ears perked up. I heard a scream. Scythe.
That set off so many alarm bells so I bolted outside and saw Scythe collapsed on the ground and Daybreak was unconscious in the arms of some strange dude
"LET GO OF MY DAUGHTER!!" I yelled then saw a blue and black blur go by with a metal sound to add to it.
"Scythe????" I mumbled then saw her but she is furious
"LET MY SISTER DAYBREAK GO NOW!!!! YOU MESS WITH ME AND HER AND YOU MESS WITH EVERYONE IN PURGATORY!" Scythe yelled but she got slammed to the ground with a dagger to the arm. She collapsed on the ground next to me, I held her close.
I was about to order an attack on the people holding my younger daughter but then, they vanished from Mount Olympus. With Daybreak.
"NO!" I cried out as I held my elder child Scythe.
"William. Grell. What happened?" Hades asked them when he came out and they explained everything.
"Dusk, let's get Scythe home then we will find Daybreak. I love you all too much to lose any of you" Hades told me then he took Scythe into his arms whilst I chanted the teleportation spell to bring us home.
I sat in our bedroom and took off the cloak I wear when on Mount Olympus then I heard Hades come in and felt him scratching behind my ears to calm me down.
"What are we going to do Hades? Daybreak is gone and Scythe is wounded. Our family is falling apart..." I told him then he wrapped his arms around me and two of our little servants: Pain and Panic (yeah Hercules reference. XD) came in.
"Your majesties we have asked our very best guards to find the lost Princess. Pain and Myself will not stop until Princess Daybreak has been brought home." Panic told us.
"Thanks you two" Hades stated as he held me close and I broke down.
Later that week Aamon, Fierra and Amybrine came over same to Arus, Ruby and Blaze for the tri-kingdom meeting every 6 months. Of course the first question asked was where Daybreak is then we told them everything.
(Now to present time when Amybrine finishes explaining everything to everyone)
Amybrine's POV
"So yeah...that is one of the reasons the shinigami are not as...up beat as they use to be. They're all still upset about Daybreak going missing and at this point, the search was actually called off. Hades and Dusk made a heart-breaking decision to call it off because it's been 13 years now since she vanished. Everyone has assumed she died. Scythe changed entirely, appearance and everything. She now has jet black hair and jet black eyes but here's the thing. Her natural hair color is indeed jet black but with a light blue dip dye and blue streaks throughout and her eyes are sky blue." I explained. The looks on their faces showed how horrifying it was to learn the truth about why William and the other Shinigami (grim reapers in Japanese by the way) are never happy anymore. And why Grim charges laughter for information
Scythe's POV
13 years have passed since my sister vanished. Everyone including me have just moved on but deep down I still miss her.
I was at the Shinigami HQ sitting at my desk I mean I am 28 now. Daybreak would be 25 if she were here. I also have started to feel emotionally attracted to Grim who took up the role of an Undertaker for the humans in London and he also trains a Phoenix named Amy who I know to be the daughter of Herobrine and Sophia Shadow. Two good friends of my mom and dad.
"Pain. Panic come here please." I asked with a stern voice.
"Yes Princess Scythe?" they asked in Unison.
"Find William and have him see me please. I have a special job for him" I commanded
"Yes M'Lady. Right away" Panic stated then they left. Five minutes later as I was working on the lists for the Shinigami I heard a knock at the door
"Come in" I called then saw William come in.
"You wished to see me?"
"Have any of you heard from Grell lately?" I asked. William explained that Grell has been messing up his work as of late, resulting in the overs having to do overtime.
"Take his death Scye off of him for now. Two months should teach him a lesson. If he screws up again I will consider revoking his status as a solo reaper." I told him.
"As you wish" then he left.
