Dad and I arrived at the palace 2 hours after leaving the manor

Once dad and I arrived at the palace, he got out of the carriage then helped me out and we walked to the throne room.
"Your majesty" we stated in unison. Dad bowed and I curtsied
"Ah. My loyal watchdog. This must be Amy Shadow. A pleasure to meet the Heir of Mythalia in person" The queen stated to me. I just smiled with a curt nod.
"Anyways to the reason why I wanted you to become the Queen's Phoenix or Fire Knight whichever you prefer, it came to my attention about your...unique...abilities. Will you accept?" The Queen asked
"I would be honored. Your majesty" I replied with a curtsy then I was handed a royal crest. My very own emblem. A Phoenix with a crown. The Queen's Guard Phoenix.
After about half an hour, Dad and I returned to the manor
Scythe's POV
"Good afternoon princess Scythe" pain and panic stated together when they entered my office in the library. I was just staring off into space out the window.
It would have been her birthday today. I hate today ever since she went missing
I ignored them entirely and asked out of the study with my death weapon in its holder in my back.
I'm done letting others try to find her. I'm going to get my little sister back. I know she is alive. The fires of Purgatory have not went out or got weaker which is a clear sign my sister Daybreak is alive. Though my energy is next to nothing after two weeks of practically like two hours sleep each night so roughly a week of zero sleep. I've done worse.
"Scythe? Where are you going?" Dad asked when he saw me. Again. Ignoring them and just left the library.
I closed my eyes and activated my special power and actually sensed another presence.
Two I knew from youth. Shadow and Amarus. My friends.
"Scythe? Wow. It's been 14 years since we last saw you and DB. Speaking of. Do you know where she is?" Shadow asked.
I FORGOT TO TELL THEM 13 YEARS AGO!!!
I explained everything before feeling really light headed. And I actually dropped my weapon as knelt on my hands and knees. My sleep or rather lack of sleep is catching up to me now
"Scythe take it easy. You haven't slept much by the looks of it. Why?" Amarus asked. I just stayed silent because I don't want to say.
"Scythe what's going on with you? It's always this day you go silent on us. I know it's meant to be your sister's birthday today but until we get confirmation of her being alive or dead we need to keep up our job as Shinigami and eventually you'll be Queen of Purgatory." Dad asked as Shadow helped me walk back to them
"I just miss DB so much every day dad. And on her birthday it's worse. She is my little sister and I failed her when she needed me most. I was the target but she defended me and now....she's gone..." I told him with tears welling up in my eyes.
He just came over and embraced me.
"Oh my little reaper. You shouldn't have kept this to yourself. Your mom and I are here for you whenever you want to talk. Same to Grimm since I've seen the way you look at him." Dad stayed which made me blush but then I felt really weak and I briefly blacked out only to wake up to dad holding me on he ground.
"You've got a nasty fever. *sigh* what am I going to do with you Scythe?" Dad muttered then held me as we teleported to my bedroom in our castle. Mom came in when she saw us.
"What happened?" Mom asked and Dad explained everything. Mom just looked at me with that look which says 'ya messed up'. Then left and returned with a bowel of water, a cloth and medicine I think.
She also used her magic to change my outfit

"Mom. I'm fine. Seriously there is nothing wrong with me" I stated.
"Scythe. You have hardly slept in two weeks. I have noticed how exhausted you look and I had a hunch eventually your body would cave in. You need to rest up. You have a high fever so I want or rather NEED you to just stay in bed and rest up today and tomorrow" Dad explained
"But the library——" I started
"I can do a bit of extra work to manage it. Believe me. If Grimm or Will knew about this they would personally guard tooth door to make sure you didn't go to the library. Just rest up for now please. We love you Scythe. You and your sister wherever she is. No matter where in the worlds she is, we still love her" mom added then dad kissed my forehead as he tucked me in. I'm almost thirty but I'm still his little reaper. Daybreak was and alway will be the little Neko of the family.
