Carrie laughed with disbelief.

A oversized wolf was in front of her, right where her date stood. One moment she was laughing at a lame joke he told, the next his tall frame in a tailored black suit disappeared, replaced with a wolf of unnatural proportions. his hunkering body came up to her shoulder, covered with the the softest of peppered grey fur. Carrie couldn't help reach out and touch it as the wolf growled, she hummed with delight as the sensation of the fur against her hands sent a surge of comfort through her. The urge to nestle up close to the wolf was strong. He growled again, pacing in front of her. Almost as if he was guarding her from an invisible presence. Carrie looked around, she couldn't see anything. The street was devoid of its usual nightlife. Carrie began to feel a sense of unease. She looked at the wolf, who continued to guard in front of her, almost urging her to get her back to the wall of the alley they stood in front of.

A Roar ensued. She covered her ears.

Everything went black.
