I guess you can say I'm your average teenager. I'm an only child, my parents both have custody over me. In the middle of ever summer, I switch from on home to another.
Since I've been six, I've lived in 20 states. Literally. Both of my parents move every time I come to stay with them. Thats why we always get a yearbook. I never really go site seeing because I'm only there for the school year.
When summer comes, I go over sea's with my cousin - who I call my aunt because she's 25 - on my dad's side, and she drops me off at the end of the summer. To be specific, it's always two weeks before school starts so I can go school shopping.
Sometimes, I wish summer could last forever. Especially when I have to go stay with my mom. She's my mom, but she's a jerk. She still acts as if she was a teenager. She has her reasons, but she could get over it anytime.
Unfortunately, I'm going to stay with her now. She's in California now. The worst part, I'm going to a private school this year.
Do you know what that means? Uniform. Lucky they let us pick our own choice of bottoms. I'm wearing professional pants all year. Annoying, snobby rich kids. Spoiled kids. I know my parents both are millionaires by their family inheritance, lucky me, but stuck up.
I'm Kristian Rider. I prefer Evie, my middle name. I'm sixteen by the way, too. I have a late birthday: July 19. Most people think I slipped a grade, but they never ask.
I let them assume. "Kristina" I heard my name being called. Here were go. Turning around, I saw my mom opening my room door.
I tried not to roll my eyes at her choice of clothing. "You ready because I have to go set up for my party tonight?" She asked. That's exactly what I mean.
You're 32. Why are you still partying like you're in college. I go to parties, and I don't come home drunk like she does. When I'm with dad, he lets me go as long as he drops me off. With mom, I just sneak out after she does.
"Yes, I'm ready, but I already know how t get there. I can drove myself if you don't mind" I said as I put my bookbag on my back.
She nodded. "Good" she said in a high pitched voice. I swear my ear drum vibrated. "That just saved me gas. Oh. Here's your money for lunch. The school said you can leave campus to get food if you don't wan their food" she said handing me a twenty.
I gave her a smile as I put it in my wallet. "Thanks. Can I go now? I don't want to be late" I asked. She nodded as she moved, so I could step out.
As I walked down the hall, she yelled "Don't get a boyfriend on me. If you do, I'm telling your dad." I laughed. My dad told me if I ever got a boyfriend, I could keep him if her survived a getting run over by my dad's truck.
Trust me, he wasn't kidding. I gave her a thumbs up. "Ok. Love you" I said as I grabbed my phone off the kitchen counter.
Pressing the elevator button, I got on and let it take me down to the garage. Oh. I forgot to mention. We live in a pent house in my mom's brother's hotel. It's nice.
When i got to the garage, the first vehicle I saw was mine. My baby. My motorcycle. Love. I smiled as I walked to it and climbed on.
My pride and joy. I think we can make it through the day together.
