"Your parents are cool. I might just have to get my dad to come here next school year" I whispered in Mikey's ear.

He smiled. "You better. I'm not losing you again" he nudged me. I did a small burp making Mikey look at me.

"Excuse me" I said as I patted my chest. He looked at me weird. "What?" I asked not knowing why he was looking at me that way. "You've burped worse then that you man" he said.

I pushed his face making him look the other way. "Whatever" I said trying not to laugh. Hearing someone clear this throat, we looked up to see Tyler, their mom.

I literally love her so much. She became my 2nd favorite female adult. My cousin, Lilly, is the first. I always go on vacation with her.

"So what made you move to California?" She asked me. I almost rolled my eyes. Almost. "A court order that makes me live with my mom every other school year" I tried not to sound mad.

Did I mention my mom doesn't act like one, and I don't like her? "You make that sound like a bad thing" she said. Both Mikey and I snorted at the same time.

"It is. Trust me" he said picking up his glass of tea. I hate tea. He hated tea, too. "I thought you didn't like tea?" I asked as he took a sip.

He nodded. "I don't. It's called lemon juice" he said. Thank you. I thought I was the only one. The only way I drink sweet tea is with lemon juice. Unsweetened tea is disgusting. I don't see how anyone can drink it. I'm a southern girl. South Carolina was my home of my early six years.

I sometimes miss it. Sometimes. I hated the winter. The only thing that was good about it was the popcorn, cookies, donuts, and hot chocolate. That was until I found out I was allergic to dark chocolate. I can only eat white chocolate, and it's good.

Especially on strawberries. Oh my God. Bless my soul. No one can take that away from me.

Feeling stares at me, I looked up to see a confused Tyler and Andrew, their dad. "My mom is a party animal" I explained. They started to laugh confusing me.

"I'm sorry. It's just I use to be a party animal. That's was until I lost it one night" she said. Mikey cleared his throat as he sat up.

"Care to explain yourself?" He asked like he was the boss. I know not. "Boy, chill out. I got my act together. Anyway, I was about 24. I was still with Andrew. Went to a friend's party. Drunk off my butt. My ex boyfriend actually brought me home. I made so many false reports to the police that night. I had to crush my phone because I was not going to jail" she told us.

Wow. "I think her ex was probably the best thing for her that night. Some people act like they don't know you after a break up. He and I became really good friends because I was grateful and he was cool" Andrew added.

"Who was..is her ex?" BJ asked. I forgot he was here. "Nathan Rider. I haven't seen him in years though" he said.

Both Mikey and I looked at each other with the same 'I know you lying' expression. "Is he white?" I asked. She nodded. Mikey begin to wave his hand in front of his face.

"You know that's my uncle. Well, not technically, but still. My uncle as in her father" he pointed at me.

I begin to laugh. "I feel do happy right now. I'm so not moving next year" I said.
