Chapter 8

Zayn woke up on a couch. A couch is way too uncomfortable to be his own.

He looks around realizing he is not at home. He sat up a bit too quickly only to feel dizziness in his head. "Hey slow down." He heard someone behind him before feeling an arm on his back.

"H-Harry?" Zayn opens his eyes properly looking at the figure framing him. "Where am I?" He looks at Harry quizzically.

"At my apartment, Halo is upstair asleep." He explains and then hands zayn an Excedrin and a glass of water. "You, uh, you had an episode," Harry explains again when he saw Zayn's once again puzzled look.

And then zayn felt it. His migraine that is.
He reached his hand up to his head as he felt the sharp pain thumping against the front perimeter of his head.

After taking the pill and the glass of water Harry held out for him. Zayn stood up.

"We should get going," Zayn spoke.

"Actually I was thinking we could talk, and if I could spend tomorrow with halo, you know, to get to know her better." Harry smiled and he looked so happy and so excited.

It made zayn happy but at the same time sad. What if harry takes away his princess?

"What do you want to talk about?" Zayn asked.

"Everything. Like, You why didn't you tell me you were pregnant?"

"I would've but you were already gone." Zayn grits his teeth.

"When, exactly did you know you were pregnant?" Harry's curiosity picked at him.

"It was two weeks before the wedding. A week after you left, I was planning to tell you on the honeymoon." Zayn explained
literally trying not to break down.

Harry on the other hand couldn't believe his ears.

"So the puking and snappy behavior was because you were pregnant?" Harry furrowed his brows tilting his head. "Oh baby, It was around that time I got my record deal, I thought you were getting annoyed with me, that's why it was so easy for me to leave. I felt like if I married you I would have been forcing you into something you didn't want. So I did what I thought was best. And I left." Zayn listened intently to Harry trying to brush off the nickname as if it doesn't affect him at all.

But who is he kidding?

Even after all these years, after what Harry did and in this situation, he just wanted to melt at the thought that harry called him baby.

Zayn was just staring at Harry. So he was the problem and that's why harry left. He just wasn't a problem the way he thought he was. Their nine-year relationship was thrown down the drain because of assumptions? He suffered for two years because harry thought he wasn't good enough?

"Can I have another Excedrin?" Zayn looks down rubbing his temple and harry sprung to his demand the same way he always did caused a small smile to appear on zayn's face.

Harry returns with the pill giving it to his ex fiancè. Harry took a seat next to Zayn on the couch. They weren't close to each other but they were not far apart either.

"Daddy?"

"Yes, sweety?" Both there heads pop up answering the melodious voice that belongs to their angel.

"I meant daddy dada." She looks up at Harry whose mouth forms an 'O' shape.

"What is it, sweety?" Zayn smiled.

"Can we stay 'ere t'night?" She asked curiosity evident in her bright green eyes.

Before zayn could answer she was already on the couch head in his lap and feet on harry with her eyes closed.

Guess we are staying then. Zayn thought to himself.

He looked up at harry only see a mesmerizing gaze in his eyes as he watched his daughter sleep with a small smile on his lips.

Maybe we can fix what was broken. Zayn thought to himself and then felt a small vibration in his back pocket.

He pulled out his phone to see a text message.

Luke🥰: Hey babe are you okay, I don't see your car in the driveway.

Zayn decided to reply because if he didn't he knew Luke would start calling.

Zayn: don't worry I'm okay

Luke🥰: okay baby be careful ❤.

And there is the harry effect. The effect that can make you forget about anyone in a matter of minutes.

How could he forget about Luke so easily? He was the only light shone on him after two years other than halo. Besides, harry has a boyfriend. What was zayn thinking he's a pop star obviously he moved on.
