I wake up ready for competition. i go over to my sister's room and wake her up she groans and gets up and I go back into my room and shower to get ready for competition. I blowdry my hair and then I put on my dance underwear with my tights then I put on an ALDC shirt, Adidas workout pants and a pair of Adidas sneakers with my ALDC jacket. I then make sure everything is packed then I bring my bags downstairs, putting them by the door. I see Kalani and Mom at the table eating cereal so I go over and join them. I eat a big bowl of special k cereal with a fruit salad and a bottle of water. I fill up my hydro flask water bottle and Kalani's, putting them into the cooler mom brings for competitions. We finish eating in silence then we pack up the car and drive to the ALDC to get on the bus. I put my stuff underneath the bus where all of our luggage goes then I get on the bus and start walking down the aisle looking for a place to sit. I see an open seat next to Kendall and figure we should talk through the duet and stuff so I go up to her.
"Can I sit here?" I ask Kendall giving her a smile. She nods with a slight smile and I sit next to her. "Are you excited for today?" I ask her. She nods smiling. "Yes and no, I'm excited about the group and duet but I'm also so nervous," Kendall says to me. I nod in the understanding of her. "I'm so nervous about my solo," I say to her. She looks at me confused. "Why?" Kendall asks. "I messed up really bad last week, for the first time since I got here, I placed 2nd which is the first to lose. Then to top it off, the group got 10th. "I say sighing. "Kacey, you have to forget about all of that! If you have that in your mind, you aren't going to win or dance to the best of your ability! Don't dance for a score today Kacey, dance for yourself." Kendall says smiling at me. I smile and give her a hug. Kendall and I talk the whole time on the way to the competition.
We get to the competition and we get off the bus and the film crew helps us bring in all of our stuff. We set up shop in our dressing room and immediately we start getting ready for solos. I start doing my makeup for my solo.

I add a red lipstick and then my mom asks Miss Abby what my hair should be and she said a bun with detail so my mom starts doing my hair and then I look at it in the mirror.

My mom adds a red flower to the side of it and then I go into the changing station and grab my costume, putting it on. I walk back out and Miss Abby gasps. "Wow, that fits better than I thought it would, it looks amazing," Abby says making me smile. "Let's run it." Abby says to me.
