Shake Town

Chapter 4

Chris Caramel's POV:

   Leo busts through the door and walks silently straight to his bedroom. Soon follows Josh but stops after noticing me on the couch in the living room.

   "When did y-you get here?..." His voice cracks mid sentence which is a beginning result of him holding back tears. I do not reply but just stare at the short brunette with complete remorse. He shifts his weight to one side of him as he stands impatiently.

   "I am assuming you let yourself in about an hour ago once I messaged the group about the mishap with Leo?..." He states while I nod my head yes rapidly. I grab my bag that was propped up next to me and I open it to reveal a first aid kit.

   "Nah... Not for now at least, the hospital stitched him up and removed the glass so you just get the simple after math this time." A sheepish smirk paints over Josh's face as I look away refusing to continue to play our little game of quiet charades. He should have known by now I do not speak, even if I am spoken to first.

   Josh walks to his room after a few words were left unsaid. I get up and follow knowing he is not going to be ok for just about every single reason under the sun. But out of curtesy I knock before even attempting to enter his threshold.

"C-Chris g-go h-home!" He shouts and my hand travels down to the door handle, I jiggle it in an attempt to open it but it appears to be locked. I hope he is ok... Normally he isn't this shaken up about these sort of things... Maybe it had to do with the Smooths... I just can only hope not honestly...

A few hours pass before I attempt to open the door again, but unfortunately it is still locked. I then turn around and open Leo's door with ease. His rainbow christmas lights illuminate the room as I blatantly stare at Leo's shirtless back facing me as he is under his black bed covers. It appears he is asleep. And I do not say a word and close the door slowly to reduce the noise.

My phone dings from a message being sent to me. It is Kade Strawburst, my roommate who looks like Leo's biological older brother if you ask me. My eyes scan the cracked screen and I become filled with annoyance with Kade's response.

C-are you able to pick me up later?? i am at josh's waiting for leo and him to come home from the hospital. :(

C-they just came home and everything seems south man. idk what to say or do... leo ran to his room and josh started to cry and stormed to his room. :0

Today

K-Yo I can't get chu 2night. Spend the night at their place. Am sure they will have no prob with it anyway. And keep ur eyes on Leo he seems very messed up. Gn man. See you in the morn.

C-k their both passed out already. but yea ill make sure he is ok. same for josh he has his door locked. ttyl and gn. ;)

My phone powers off and I set it down after plugging it in to charge. I yawn and pull a blanket over my lower half after kicking off my sneakers. And prop myself up comfortably with pillows on their black leather couch. Afterwards is a blur from drifting off to sleep in record time.
