Chapter 2 : 2

Day 1 of the war, 5:30 am, a Unknown Location in Hokkaido.

??? - "As the current observer of the Holy Grail War, I pretty much am aware that there are currently 14 servants being summoned by thr Holy Grail. But I still suspect about how things are going smoothly. Assassin, try infiltrating the city of Hakodate and gain some information about the war."

Assassin - "I can simply use my familiars to observe and use their vision to observe the current events in the area."

??? - "There is a reason for you to go there. We need to know more about our participants since some of the letters were intercepted by those bastards from the Dead Apostles, Mages Association, and the Church."

Assassin - "Is this for the purpose of winning making sure that we can properly manipulate the Holy Grail War within our own hands?"

??? -"That is the easiest thing to do Assassin, we cannot afford defeat at all costs"

Assassin - "Understood Master"

Day 1 of the war, 3:00 pm A local hotel in Hakodate, Hokkaido.

Reo - "It is notified by us that a few people mysteriously vanished or died in a school building in Otaru"

Himiko - "Is this really related to the Holy Grail war we are participating"

Archer - "I do not know why but Master has a gut feeling that this might be the ones he considers as targets"

Himiko - "Hmm so that is the only information about it Senpai?"

Reo - "There is another thing similar here in Hakodate as well. A local inn reports some of their staff going missing by the end of their shifts, the people are usually female employees who try to work on Room 204."

Helena - "It sounds more of a crime than an act of the occult in how those things are eerily the same in nature but differences in approach"

Himiko - "Soooooo"*places hand on her foread*"Is this a case that involves magic and concerns the Holy Grail War?"

Reo - "More or less likely that the Dead Apostle, Ymir Yokhannan, is the culprit for those disappearances."

Himiko, Oda - *tilts their heads*"How come?"

Reo - "Well simply put, a case file that Kiritsugu Emiya once handled out was concerning the 'Apostle of Darkness', Ymir Yokhannan, and his ability to make people into his slaves before making them 'disappear' from the public eye, usually being women."

Reo - "Kiritsugu then offered this job of hunting him to another person so that he can have time with his daughter Illyasviel von Einzbern Emiya. I took up the offer as most of those 'assassins' would not be able to fight a Dead Apostle head-on unlike that user of the 'Mystic Eyes of Death'."

Himiko felt a chill just knowing who is the potential suspect for these mysteries. Reo simply continued.

Reo - "I also have to say this but as far as our intelligence network goes, that bastard joined the Holy Grail war."

Himiko - "?!?!"

Himiko felt dread when she realized that they have to fight a being like the Dead Apostles in a Holy Grail war.

Reo - "Let us start our first move on this mission"

Himiko lowers head as she tries to say yes in which they began to meet Berserker's master.

Meanwhile in the streets around Hakodata, a man, with elegant clothing was simply entering a newly built restaurant. The same man had noticed 2 figures coming to his way and greeted them.

Ymir - "Ohhhh....It looks like the uninvites guests have arrived I see."

A young man points a revolver at him and begins to talk to him.

Reo - "Its better for you to surrender Dead Apostle Ymir Yokhannan, you cannot fight under these circumstances."

Ymir - "I would like to, but I cannot just let it end here you know."

Ymir smiles as Reo was pointing his magic-engraved revolver. Despite this odd feeling suddenly turned violent as Zombies begin their attack towards the civilians and to his two opponents. This scared the girl beside him, and forced the young man to defend the people around them from the Ghouls and Zombies started to infect the bystanders.

Reo - "TCH! *Shoots a few rounds with his revolver* I never thought that we have to fight in such a disadvantage. Archer take out the undead minions while I make sure that our target doesn't escape."

Archer - "'Tis likely the fight that we bargained for."

Reo preferred not to assassinate Ymir as he can easily detect them, escape or kill them if necessary.

Suddenly a loud roar can be heard from a distance.

Ymir - "I do not want to directly fight a master in this situation, well it doesn't matter. Wipe them out Berserker"

The Berserker, clad in armor, begins to attack the two youngsters and the Servant fighting waves of undead.

Reo - "TCH!"

Himiko - "Senpai, let us divide the playing field. Defeat his zombies while I take care of his rampaging Servant."

Reo - "Yeah. Archer! Shoot those zombies, I'll apply some magic to avoid becoming one."

Archer - "AH! This is something we cannot handle directly"

//author's note:Well since the early fight was already in the previous chapter, just gonna make those parts quick in the next chapter//

After a fierce clash broke out, the young man decided to make sure that he and the girl escapes, with her being the top priority.

Reo - "We will only gain enough time for them to retreat. We can flee afterwards Archer. We can still run wild for now."

Archer - "Ahh let us do this then"

Reo - "At most we can escape for only 30 minutes with what we have."

Archer - "That would be great for a plan if Berserker is not caught up by our plan."

Reo - "Let us hope for that".

The fight lasted for more than half an hour and the young lad and his servant escaped the jaws of death.
