"Get up," Roger ordered and when I didn't respond, he grabbed my chin forcefully. "What part of 'get up' don't you understand?" The chains were loose and the cuffs were uncuffed, but I was emotionally and physically tired. My whole body was too sore and my limbs ached.

"I can't," I hoarsely answered. He huffed in annoyance and picked me up from the ground, resting my arm around his neck as he gripped my waist with his left arm. I limped to the doorway and cringed when I put too much weight on my broken ankle.

"That's it, baby. Keep going," Roger cooed, but I was too tired to respond. The steel door opened and we walked down the small hall and made our way out towards another steel door that required a pin code.

100912.

The door opened up with a 'click' and we were soon met with a bright, green forest. I need to make a run for it.

"Don't even think about it," Roger hissed from beside me. My look of temptation must have given me away. I limped and limped around the corner until an old, blue Toyota came into view.

"Roger, I really need to use the restroom. "

"Hold it in."

"I can't. Roger, please!" I even made a little dance and he studied me for a moment before sighing.

"You have three minutes, so make it quick," he responded. As I turned away, he grabbed my arm and closely whispered in my ear through gritted teeth from behind me,"No funny business, Chloe." I nodded and limped away to a good, far enough bush.

Jewel.

What?

We need to get out. Help me shift, hurry!

My bones snapped and as I felt the familiar sensation of my wolf form, I dashed deep into the forest.

◇Roger's P.O.V.◇

I watched Chloe's retrieving form go behind a bush and then I turned my back. Looking at my watch to keep time, I called out,"One more minute, Chloe." No response.

"Chloe?" I turned around and headed towards the bush I saw her go to. I cautiously made sure she wasn't naked, but was met with a dry, empty spot instead.

"Shit! Chloe!" I yelled to the wind. I dug my phone out from my pocket and dialed the number.

"What?" The gruff voice answered.

"I lost her," I replied nervously.

"What do you mean you lost her, you dumbass?"

"She ran off into the forest and left."

"Well, what the hell are you waiting for? Go after her!" He yelled in frustration.

"Yes, Alpha Henry." I hung up, shifted and ran after her familiar scent.

♥Chloe's P.O.V. ♥

I had been running non-stop for about an hour and my ankle throbbed in pain. Something shiny caught my eye and I realized it was a lake. Quickly, I made my way towards it to get a drink. My thirst vanished as I greedily lapped up the fresh water.

I yelped in pain as I felt long canines sink into my already broken ankle. Turning around to see my attacker, I saw a dark-brown wolf with dark eyes. Roger.  My wolf instantly bent sideways and bit his right cheek. It was enough for him to let go and I limped a few feet back. He crouched down, ready to attack and so did I. He leaped into the air, but was cut short by a huge, familiar, black wolf.

Daniel.

Daniel sunk his canines into Roger's neck as they landed with a hard 'thud'. Roger tried to turn sideways to get a bite, but Daniel was way faster and stronger. Daniel growled menacingly on top of Roger, showing his huge, sharp teeth in warning. Roger's human form appeared under Daniel and Daniel took a few steps back as he also shifted. Waisting no time, Roger was pinned by his neck on a nearby tree by an infuriated looking Daniel.

"Who the fuck are you?" Daniel growled.

"R-Roger," he barely choked out.

"Why the fuck were you trying to take my mate away from me?"

"I'm s-sorry."

Two smaller wolves came to me and helped me up. I yelped as the pain coursed through my whole leg, which caused Daniel to snap his head in my direction. His eyes lowered and stopped at my bloodied leg, causing his eyes to turn pitch black.

"YOU FUCKING HURT HER?!" With an animalistic growl, he threw Roger to the opposite tree. Roger was gasping for air and shaking in fear as he tried getting up. He wasn't even up when Daniel grabbed him by the head and twisted it with such great force, that I swore I almost saw the head coming off.

Two arms and a warm blanket were wrapped around me and I shifted. I cried in pain, but Daniel was already lifting me up from the ground. He placed his head in between my neck and inhaled deeply while holding me tightly against him. His warmth spread all over me and his scent mixed with mine.

"I'm so sorry," he mumbled against my neck.

"It's not your fault, Daniel. You didn't know."

"I'm so sorry." He kissed my forehead, lingering for a bit before resting his chin on my head. I breathed in deeply and welcomed the darkness with opened arms.
