clarity's father crushed her with his very muscular arms.... (yes i'm a simp)  to the point where clarity had to tap his arms to have him let go. "sorry baby." "it's alright papa how have you been?!" "i'm good come on! let's go and sit i haven't seen my beautiful daughter in so long! you too hyungwon! it's been a while son hasn't it?" clairity's father smiled at the awkward boy. the boy smiled back shaking his hand before meeting the rest of the family.

while clarity played with the children, her aunts called hyungwon over to talk to them. they gossiped about everything and anything. past issues like the 'one cousin that had a baby without a husband... again.' or how their husbands do nothing and i quote 'just need one good slap upside their head.' as expected he  listened intently not missing a single syllable.

"well men are trash but they're not ready for that conversation.. and if the person is having children then try to find someone to settle them down with?" the aunties looked at him shocked! 'what a wonderful answer?!' was what they all thought as he contemplated his answer. his answer was good enough for the aunts but not bad enough to really offend anybody... except for the people being talked about.

because of his wonderful answers clarity's aunts practically chewed his ear off with their problems. they started talking about drama about mrs.shelly from across the street, or that one girl they met up with from their childhood and how she looked raggedy.

hyungwon was impressed by how much these women could speak and was about to put his two cents in until clarity's mother told them to 'stop messing with the poor boy. and stop gossiping with out her.' hyungwon laughed at the reactions which made the group smile.

clarity looked over seeing the interactions and finding it to be absolutely adorable. he was bonding with her family. the fact that her aunts loved him sold it for her. he was a keeper for sure.

finally it was time for food as the men were done grilling and the children set the table. the food that was served consisted of, but certainty was not limited to, hot dogs (ahem..GLIZZYS), burgers, steak, potato salad, and an assortment of desserts filled to the brim with sugar.

one if the cousins said grace starting the chaotic dinner. the table was filled with the warmth and love of family. they all smiled and laughed while interacting with each other. hyungwon was the highlight of it all. the family asked him questions regarding his occupation, how he loves clarity and the people he worked with.

though there was a slip up with one of the toxic cousins calling hyungwon a "ching chong nigga" and was quickly shown their way out of the door everything went smooth. hyungwon looked happy.

this made clarity smile at him knowing that it was a good choice to let him be there. her family loved him and were very open to the idea of an interracial relationship in the family.

by the time it was the time to leave everybody, all of the aunts, uncles, children, and adults wanted to talk to hyungwon which made clarity chuckle lightly at the scene.

to explain it better it's as though fans of his were around him but cared more about him as a person than an idol. they all asked questions about how he felt and what he thought of different things.

clarity saw that this was a bit overwhelming and clung onto hyungwon. "sorry ladies it's time for us to go home! you can see hyungwon tomorrow since we're visiting again." the family smiled knowing they were going to see such a kind young man that genuinely loved their niece.

"wait! before you go! hyungwon i want to make a toast to welcome you into the family." he turned shocked at what was said by clarity's father. "o-of course!"

they raised their glasses of whatever welcoming the kind boy into the family.
