We pull up to the location of the where the recent girl went missing..

"You guys on this case too?" Iida asked letting us through the do not cross tape.

"Yea. What do you guys have so far ?" I asked.

"Not much to be honest. Young girl, 18. Just graduated a few months ago. She was walking home from work at the juice bar a few blocks from here.. never made it home. Her purse and jacket were found here "

I pulled out the map and went over all the missing girls location... "I'm noticing a pattern." Shoto said as he looked over my shoulder. The juice bar is center to all the missing girl locations .. all girls were taken in a specific order. Like directions on a compass. So far 5 went missing north.  3 on west. This one makes the first in east..."

"You think they'll be going south next ?" Bakugo asked

"I'm not sure. North and west had multiple abductions .. but the numbers aren't even. It could be a possibility.. but smother kidnapping here could be a possibility as well.  "

"What were the time frames of all the abductions?" I asked iida .

"11." Bakugo answers.

"I think I have an idea. But I'm gonna need to fake a job at the juice bar. Without them knowing .. we don't know who's involved.."

"What the hell do you think your planning??" Bakugo growled becoming upset. "Are you really trying to use yourself as bait !?"

"Exactly what I plan on doing.  I'll wear a small camera on my uniform.. you guys see everything I do. If I bump into the kidnapper we'll get a visual as well as a location. I'm not feeling any suspicious vibrations out here so their base is somewhere else. Away from the kidnapping."

"That's the dumbest-"

"It's brilliant. She's the top hero in America when it comes to rescue and investigation. You would've known that had you kept contact." Shoto shot Bakugo a glare. It was clear that he struck a nerve.

"None of that matters right now."

"An ex kidnappee getting kidnapped again by possibly the same group of villains doesn't sound brilliant. It sounds triggering."

"Well. Like I said. If you kept contact.. you wouldn't be doubting her .."

"I'm doing it regardless.. those girls are afraid and feel alone. Like they're never going to get rescued. I know that feeling and I'm gonna do what it takes to save them the way my friends saved me. End of story..  iida can you get the higher ups to speak with the head of the juice bar and get me in?"

"Yea.."

"I would need to start today"

"I'll make it happen."

"Thank you .. come on Shoto.. we got planning to do."

"I'm coming with. This was my case."

"Fine. You can come with but you'll follow our plans Bakugo.  One wrong hot headed love from you and that can cost those girls their lives. You got that ?" I stared Bakugo down and he nodded. "Good. We have a lot to cover before tonight. Tell your girlfriend not to wait up."

He took his gaze off me after realizing he been caught. He knew it was just a matter of time but that didn't make the situation less awkward. The look in his eyes and how he couldn't face me after mentioning that really bothered me. It confirmed that what momo told Todoroki was actually true. And the Bakugo I knew was gone.
