The small collection of trees were thankfully all closely packed together, and ferns too.
Meaning the ground underneath them were dry.

Kicking some dirt and leaves to sit down on, I sighed, and pulled my hood down.
It may have been raining but my coat had made me too damn warm, not to mention the amount of walking I'd done recently had made even me tired.
Singing to myself, I shrugged it off of my shoulders and laid it onto my lap.

I glanced around the area, probably something I should have done before I sat down. Tiredness was making me forget things... ( Idiot ).

Movement caught through some trees ahead caught my eye, but it was merely an animal grazing, by the looks of it.

I began to hum quietly and a wild deer peeked out at me from the undergrowth into the clearing where in sat.
And I watched it, watching me.

Sighing I shifted my wait forwards, readying myself to stand.
My change of position had surprised the deer and it had moved back several paces.

Humming again, I stayed still.

The deer moved closer to me, maybe only 8-ish meters away from me, at least.

Close enough...

Swiftly standing, one moment I was by the tree, the next I saw stood over the deer with a now broken neck.

Bon appetite.
