(Y/N's Pov)

Today was a bit stormy. I was practicing my combat skills in an old abandon green house a little ways past the grave yard. Shelly said it was a great place to practice, she cleaned out the place so it was just a giant, empty, glass house. Colt said it was a bad idea because he didn't want me to get jumped by Mortis or Frank. Mortis knew better though and Frank was a sweetheart so I didn't have to worry.

I wasn't a brawler so I really didn't need to know how to fight but, I wanted to learn. I'm self taught and I wasn't half bad. I had a few tricks up my sleeve.

I also didn't have a weapon so I took an old mop and removed the rag part to make a staff. I dropped my satchel to the side and decided to start with some stretches.

I stretched out my legs and once I started my arms I looked up to the glass roof when I heard a light tapping noise. It softly started sprinkling outside, little water droplets began to run down the roof.

I took a deep breath and picked up my staff. I spun it softly in between my fingers as I made my way to the center of the building.

I closed my eyes and started doing simple moves in slow motion. I took calm, deep breaths as my slow movements gradually started speeding up.

Soon I could hear the swinging of my staff from the speed I was going at. The rain was now pounding against the glass as the storm continued to get stronger.

I decided to switch things up for a bit and started attacking the air as if I were fighting someone. My movement was fast as I swung my staff at full force, high kicking occasionally.

I paused for a moment to try to control my breathing. I looked up and saw the rain hitting harder than before. I was afraid it would soon shatter the glass.

I was just about to take a break but someone from behind me slammed the door open and quickly slammed it shut.

I heard their gasps as they fell to the floor to rest. I didn't turn around, they obviously didn't notice me yet so I hit my staff against the floor, causing their heavy breathing to stop.

I heard them get to their feet and slowed my breathing a bit more, my heart was finally beating normally. I was covered in sweat but I didn't mind, I closed my eyes and continued breathing.

"What the hell are ya doin' here!?"

My eyes shot open as I felt my heart quicken once again. I could have sworn his breathing sounded like Mortis! Even though I felt shy, I kept a calm composure and continued facing the opposite way.

"Hello to you too Bull." I spoke calmly even though my face was burning red.

"Shouldn't ya be back at your place?" He growled over the loud slams from the roof.

"It wasn't raining when I got here." "It's not raining now!"

I looked up once more then I turned to him. "What do you mea-"

I stopped speaking when I saw a large trickle of blood running across his eye and drip down his chin. He held out a fist and opened it, releasing bits of ice that were a little larger than golf balls.

I gasped and put a hand to my mouth as I looked from his face to his arms. It looked like he was beaten to a pulp.

"It's hailin' outside."

I started to rush over to him but I quickly stopped, he looked bitterly to me then to the ceiling with anger and then fell back to his knees.

My heart ached, seeing him in this state. I looked to my bag and ran to it, looking for the first aid that I usually bring with me.
