Obviously the floating ship was sent for them. Somehow, Strucker must have located where the Avengers has fought their first battle against his creatures and he had sent more of his pawns to potentially eliminate them. Peter and the Avengers quickly arrived at the scene where HYDRA agents and the creatures alike were preparing for battle on the field.

"They are here for you." Peter said, "Strucker is not with them. That means they still haven't found out about my whereabouts."

"So, are you just gonna hide here then?" Nat asked.

"For now. But if you get into trouble I will come to your aid." Peter replied.

'He sounds like one of those old English dudes in movies.' Tony thought, 'always speaking so seriously without much humor or Gen Z pop culture facts.'

"I was in HYDRA for more than a year, what do you expect?" Peter's words made Tony jump.

"What-? How-?" Tony said, surprised.

Peter chuckled.

"You said that out loud, Stark." He grinned and for a moment, just a moment, the old Peter, the one who didn't have to endure all the hardships he didn't deserve, was there.

Then it was gone, masked by the serious features of the Peter who had gone through HYDRA and seen the bad side of this world.

"You should go now. Kill the creatures and destroy that ship. I will only come out when you need me direly. Good luck." Peter then melted into the shadows.

"What just happened?" Clint asked.

"I think... I think Peter just showed his humorous side for a second." Loki concluded.

"Wow, never thought that would happen." Sam said.

"Call it, Cap," (Plz tell me someone got that reference, plz) Tony spurred.

"Okay. Stark, Thor and Rhodes, you take that ship. Wanda, Vision, Bucky, Clint, Sam, Nat and I will sweep the ground. Loki, you use your weird magic stuff. Bruce," Steve paused for a second, looking at him.

"Hulk out."

The Hulk emerged and grunted, looking at Steve.

"Smash."

With that they charged right out onto the battlefield once more.

Peter had stayed on top of a tree, listening in on the conversation. Soon the Avengers had all cleared the trees and started their fight. The creatures were everywhere and like most of the time, the Avengers were having trouble fending them off. Usually at about this point someone would do something to completely turn the tables but not today.

Peter debated if he should join in the fight. After the first battle, Peter had stopped helping them in fear of HYDRA locating him and attacking. Peter always watched from afar but this time, he knew he had to go help.

It was just a matter of 'when'.

The battle was raging and Peter didn't think they could actually win this without his help. But if Peter showed himself and saved the day, HYDRA would know where he was and come after him and he would potentially endanger the Avengers and-, never mind. There was a problem on the field.

Thor and Rhodey were knocked out of the sky and Tony was the only one left up there. The big ship was firing its gigantic machine guns at him and Peter didn't think he could hold them off any longer. The Iron Man suit was already breaking and Peter could see Tony trying to get out from underneath the ship before he was overwhelmed with bullets.

And then, unfortunately, the Hulk jumped to the top of the floating fortress.

He landed on top of the ship and smashed the main control panel. Bruce must've lent some of his intelligence to the Hulk since he knew which electrical box to destroy and which to not. The ship began to fall and from afar, it actually looked like that the Avengers might be winning.

But isn't it always when the heroes are about to succeed, something goes wrong?

That's exactly what happened.

As the ship came down, Peter could see Tony being trapped underneath it. He couldn't get out now since his suit was pretty much broken and the weight of the ship was pushing him downwards. Thor and Rhodey couldn't help him and neither could any of the other Avengers.

So Peter did.

He charged out from the trees towards where the ship was falling. He used the Force and lifted the ship up slightly so Tony had a chance of getting out. But apparently he couldn't since he was stuck under when his suit had deactivated so Peter surrounded himself with the Force completely, blasting everything out of his way and sprinting towards where he predicted the ship would crash when it landed. He could see Tony coming down with the ship and there were only seconds for Peter to save him.

If his mind was clear, than maybe Peter wouldn't have done what he did.

But he did.

Peter arrived at the 'landing point' just as the ship came down. He used the Force to grab Tony and get him down on the ground beneath him and used himself as a human shield.

Peter took all the damage when the ship crashed on top of him.

When the dust cleared, the Avengers could only see a huge pile of rubble. The leftover creatures had run off and those who were crushed by the ship let out ear-piercing shrieks as they died. Wanda immediately started to dig through the rubble in hopes of finding Peter and Tony and everyone soon joined.

Down inside the rubble, Peter wasn't doing so well.

He had his full concentration on holding up the rubble, just like he did before during Homecoming so he couldn't summon the Force, not yet.

The rubble shifted, causing Peter to adjust his back against it again.

"Peter?" Tony breathed.

"What, you're dying?" Peter snapped, not losing concentration or looking down at him.

"What-, what are you doing?" Tony asked.

"Saving your ass."

The rubble shifted again causing Peter to grit his teeth and clench his jaw. It felt like a hundred blue whales were on top of him, slowly crushing him to his death.

"Peter, what-?"

"Okay, I need you to shut the hell up." Peter told him, "I'm gonna summon it." He closed his eyes for a moment, reaching for the Force from within his body.

When he opened his eyes again, he saw black energy emitting from his body.

Peter smiled crookedly.

"I got you."

And the rubble completely disappeared and then suddenly appeared a few hundred feet away.

Peter moves away from Tony and collapsed on the ground.

"Oh my god." Nat ran to Peter's side. "Pete are you okay?"

"What does it look like?" Peter sassed, "I just lifted a ton of rubble off my back."

"Good to see you haven't died." Loki walked over to join them.

"Well, that bitch there almost did. He needs medical help." Peter said, pointing to Tony, who was lying on the ground surrounded by the rest of the Avengers.

Peter got up slowly.

"Aw shit. Why do I have this thing with stuff collapsing on me?" He asked himself.

"This happened before?" Nat asked, concerned.

"It's fine." Peter said, summoning the Force again and picking up Tony. "Let's head back, we have plenty of things to discuss.
