Chapter 7: Getting Out Of This Place, Hades Lifton & Hot Air Balloons

Today is the day I get released from the hospital finally! My mom, Rider and Rayne are here to pick me up and take me back to the beach house. I am a bit sad because Hades is not here, but he has school and well a life he has to obtain to. I was supposed to get out of the hospital on Tuesday but the doctors and the nice nurse lady kept running test after test which kept me here in till today, which is thankfully Friday. I now get the whole weekend at home by myself to get back on my feet. My sister is going on Justin's family yacht this weekend and my mom has a late flight back to Chicago tonight. They both would have not left my side if it was not for Rider and Hades being able to come and check up on me periodically.

The weird thing though is I have not seen nor heard from Hades since the day after we shared the hospital bed together. That next morning we woke up, had breakfast together and then he kissed me on my forehead and out the doors he went. I have been incredibly stressed out because of these crazy tests the doctors are putting me through that I have not thought much of his silence in till now.

Speaking of silence I have been trying to give my sister the silent treatment since she confessed to me that she let a few people in my room to show off my designs. As much as I still want to slap her over and over, I want to know if she knows where Hades has been. Time to break the silence, well only to get the answers I need.

I clear my throat trying to gain my sisters attention. She is sitting in the chair to my left with her eyes glued to her phone. She does not even look up at me. I can tell she feels guilty for her actions. Guilt has been plastered on her face since the second I mentioned the situation of my ripped up dreams. She has yet to even look me in the eyes, that is how awful she feels. She still has been here every single day to check up on me even though I am giving her the silent treatment.

"Rayne." I say breaking our silence of the past three days. Her face tightens as she forces herself to look up at me. Her eyes look as if they are full of sorrow. I want to forgive her but right now the damage of what happened is still fresh on my mind. I would be lying to her and myself if I told her it was okay. I know she was drunk, but that is no excuse. Because of her opening that door and letting people in that room, is why my life's work is now gone. It's as if my beautiful dresses never even existed. All I can do is ease the tension between us. I am still irately outraged but she is my sister, my twin, my blood, I can at least talk to her about Hades. I'm curious.

Her tan face gives me a soft remorseful smile. "You're talking to me?" She gulps. "I thought you were never going to speak to me again." She whispers.

I do not want to. Your actions ruined the best thing I had going in my life...

"I have a question?" I said earning a grin from Rayne.

"Anything sissy." She smiles and pulls herself closer to the bed.

"Have you seen or talked to Hades?" I asked. Her face immediately went from slightly happy to disappointed. She tried to cover it up with her fake smile. I think she was expecting me to tell her I forgave her.

Her eyes narrowed and she began to chew on her lip. "I have not seen him." She spoke softly almost as if she was hiding something.

"Have you talked to him?" I asked sounding annoyed. And she quickly shakes her head no.
