A month later,

I was fine, that's what I made others believe. After the incident people started to befriend me. It was weird at the beginning but after sometime I became comfortable. My new friend, Janice started to date Calum. They did look cute together.

I still thought about Luke, I couldn't get him out if my mind even if I wanted to.

Time flew by and it was home room.

I waved my hand to the trios as well as to Janice and a few others.

I made my way towards my home.

"Leah"

I found my mother standing in the kitchen.

" whatcha making , mom?"

She gave me a bright smile, " cupcakes for our new neighbors. They just moved so i thought how about i welcome them"

I smiled , she was always this thoughtful.

" ok mother"

" Leah, they've invited us for dinner, get ready by 8, ok?"

I saluted back

I don't know why I was this nervous. They were some neighbors .

By the time we reached the doorsteps, I could not bring myself to ring the doorbell .

A nudge from my mother brought me to reality.

I rang it, it was opened by a beautiful lady who reminded me of someone.

As we entered i looked around the house, suddenly my eyes fell onto the knife that was lying on the kitchen counter.

It looked like the knife used by Luke. So similar .

The lady smiled," I have a son who is around your age. Wait, let me call him down, baby come down"

I looked and was astonished to see him, her son, Luke.

He smirked at me, that smirk reminded me of his last promise, he'll find me anywhere, anytime and he kept his part.

" Hey, the name's Luke Hemmings "

I stared at him and his stretched arm did he remember me? Or not?

We shook hands, " my name's Leah"

I noticed our mothers have left us all alone.

He stalked and wrapped his arm around my waist and whispered," the name's scarecrow, don't you forget"

I smiled at him, he maybe a screwed up, a killer but I was not so far behind ,I saved him that day by lying to the officers. God only knows what the future holds.

But right now, being with my scarecrow was good enough for me.
