The Sound of Freedom by Prospero. An article detailing what true freedom is.

Freedom. Freedom is what we desire, what we fight for, what we wish for, what we believe in, what we speak of. But what is freedom—what is true freedom?

Freedom is the sound of a child laughing as he plays in his mother's arms. Freedom is the sound of jubilation as voices cry out. Freedom is the sound of a family talking freely as birds chirp by a burbling stream. Freedom is a proud flag fluttering in the breeze. Freedom is a countryman's pride for his nation. Freedom is a street without soldiers bearing muskets.

But freedom cannot be won without muskets. Freedom cannot be bartered for; no, it must be fought for. Blood must be lost for us to achieve our freedom.

We take for granted what we have always had. Let our ancestor not take the war we will fight for granted. Let them not take freedom for granted. We must cherish our freedom. We must tell tales of our hard-earned freedom.

Free we are not. But free we will be. Freedom will be inherited by our descendants and when they know how lucky they are to have such a gift, they will rejoice. Let happiness flow forth from the freedom from Great Britain.

When we obtain freedom, what a joyous day it will be!
