I held my out, waiting, hoping, that she would come to me. This unicorn was one of the fifty left in the world, which explained the very rare sightings. They never let themselves be seen, but I was lucky.

This mare had been injured in the forest, unable to get up because of the wound on her leg. I helped her, and she's always found me in the forest ever since. Now, I wanted to see if she would walk to me on her own, instead of me going to her.

"Yixing, listen to me! I'm not making this up, I swear it's true!" I tried to convince my best friend, Yixing. We were at his house, originally planning on watching something, but as we were browsing movie titles, I saw one that reminded me of my very recent adventure.

"Y/N, we both know I love unicorns, but... really?" He was clearly unimpressed.

"You know I wouldn't lie about these things. I thought you'd be thrilled to hear I managed to get close to one of them."

"Y/N... I want to believe you..."

I sighed, frustrated. "You have two choices. Either you come with me so that I can prove it to you or you watch me leave." I grabbed my sweater. "It's up to you. I'm walking out either way."

"You're not going anywhere."

"What makes you say that?" I challenged as I put my shoes on, then stared him down.

"Because it's 10 at night! You shouldn't leave home at this hour. You know this."

"Watch me." I turned to the door, turning the handle. I stopped when he grabbed my hand.

"Can this wait until tomorrow, at least?"

"Will you come with me?"

"Beautiful, isn't she?" I asked Yixing as the unicorn made her way towards us.

I could tell she was hesitating, but I invited her over, telling her it was okay. Yixing was clearly dumbfounded by the fact that he looking at a living and breathing unicorn. I smiled as he slowly reached out to touch her muzzle.

"I... Wow. I apologize for doubting you."

I could easily tell he was very happy.

She suddenly backed away, paced around us, then pushed Yixing towards me (careful not to stab him, of course.) She neighed excitedly, jumping on her front hooves. When a clearly confused Yixing took a step back, she practically shoved him back at me. We were only centimeters apart.

"What is she doing...?" Yixing asked, though he laughed a bit.

"I have no idea," I mumbled, watching her.

With her snout, she lifted one of his hands, dropping it against my side. As if understanding, Yixing hesitantly put his arms around my waist. She whinnied happily, then went around and brought my hand to his shoulder. I wrapped my arms around his neck. Apparently satisfied, she paced around us, practically bouncing. I blushed, thinking about the position we were in.

"Did she just...?"

Yixing chuckled, and I looked over to him. His eyes met mine, and he smiled, his dimples showing and cheeks a shade of pink. "Did she just put us together?" He voiced my question, then answered it. "Yes, yes she did.

"So... what now?" I asked, watching as the mare went behind him in her circle. He shrugged.

Apparently impatient now, the unicorn went behind me and lightly pushed my head, then went around and did the same to Yixing.

"I think I understand..." He admitted, then laughed shyly.

"What?"

He placed a hand on my cheek, earning an excited whinny from the mystical horse. "She's trying to say something." I then realized what he meant.

"What are you waiting for then?"

He closed the small gap between us, kissing me. The mare jumped happily, then trotted around us. When we pulled away, we gazed at each other for a second, then at the horse. I held my hand out to her, and she gladly let me pet her muzzle.

"Thank you," I said to her.

Yixing laughed. "Yeah, I don't think I would done this without you."

"Is that so?"

"Well, um... I might have... but this is much better."

"Of course."

"Y/N." I looked to him. He smiled. "I love you."

"I love you too, Yixing."
