The Other Side

'Whelp,' thought the Voice 'people HAVE been asking for a Villain!Deku...'

"Okay!" it exclaimed out-loud "this one is a little dark to say the least, but hopefully it'll make you all realize that you were quite lucky that things have turned out the way they have"

"What do you mean sir?" asked a wary Iida

"You'll see..." was all the voice said before the screen lit up

Midoriya is shown walking around the city in his junior high school uniform before taking a turn down an alleyway. Just then, a shadow can be seen looming above him.

Which caused some members of the audience to hold their breath

Suddenly, a figure falls behind Midoriya and he turns around only to come face to face with the infamous Hero Killer Stain.

"Stain?!" basically everyone exclaimed

Iida in particular, clenched his fist at the sight of the villain

"What would Stain want with Deku? He's not in UA yet so he shouldn't even know him!" asked a worried Uraraka

"Hello kid," he said

"Stain?!" exclaimed a shocked Midoriya

"I've been watching over you" the assassin said "How everyone treats you, and yet you still went out of your way to help the same guy that made your life unbearable. Why?"

"W-well," Midoriya stuttered as his whole body shook "Even though I'm Quirkless...I've always wanted to be a hero, a true hero! Like All Might! He always helps those in need with a smile on his face...and the other heroes wouldn't do anything!"

"What are they talking about?" asked Sero

"This was after a certain incident only a few of you would know about." said the Voice "You see, in your universe, All Might approached Midoriya after watching him run in to save a victim of a villain attack. But in this universe, Stain approached him first."

'That can't be good' thought All Might, knowing what the Voice was talking about

"What did Midoriya mean by Quirkless?" wondered Mina

"I was a late bloomer remember..." Midoriya said sheepishly

"Those 'heroes' are nothing but fakes," Stain said bitterly "But you're different, you have the soul of a true hero. Unfortunately, without a Quirk you'll never be accepted into any Hero Course"

Midoriya looked down, forgetting for a moment about who he was talking to and focusing more on his words. He knew they were true, especially after today. He just didn't want to accept it yet.

Many students looked saddened at their friend's mood

"What if I told you," began Stain "that there still was a way for you to make a difference"

This got Midoriya's attention

"I've got a bad feeling about this" muttered Tokoyami

"You may not be able to become a hero," said Stain "but you can make sure the heroes are real ones"

Stain explained his crusade to Midoriya, who started shaking again as he realized where this was going. As Stain finished, music started playing in the background.

"Is that music?" asked a disbelieving Jirou

"Yes, you see," said the Voice "the theory I came up with is that in this type of universes certain thoughts will be turned into songs that play in the background, but the people from that universe can't hear them"
