"so you're sitting here with a straight face, trying to tell me that there's a ghost in your complex..?" kunikida sighed, his slender fingers tapping against the wooden table, his eyes darkening like sweet ambrosia honey, even dazai perked up in interest, his cheshire like grin spreading across his cheeks.
"atsushi-kun didn't know you about your apartment?" dazai chuckles, craning his neck to the side, a satisfying crack echoing through the somewhat empty café, they were quite early here after all.
you don't know whats happening to your coworker after they call you at five in the morning, screaming about a ghost in his room. his whiskey coloured eyes glinted playfully and atsushi's breath hitched, he never met a man more ethereal than dazai.
"n-no..? i was told my apartment just used to belong to an old port mafia member," atsushi murmured, his fingers playing with the loose string of his red knitted scarf, he learned how to knit from kunikida, he spent more money on other things instead of winter clothes which were too pricey in his opinion. "it belonged to an old port mafia member yes! akutagawa ryuunosaki, was it?" dazai waved his hands around before getting corrected my kunikida who knew an awful lot 'bout the ex port mafia member.
"ryuunosuke. not ryuunosaki, dazai." kunikida just rolled his eyes, before averting his gaze back to the window, the sun's rays felt like home almost, he sighed quietly to himself as he heard dazai ramble about the crazy things he heard from akutagawa and how he ill mannered ghost was.
atsushi looked like he was more bewildered, his eyes as big as dinner plates, he let out a quiet whine, before burying his face in his arms. the thought of a old serial killer living his apartment made his rosy, slick with strawberry chapstick lips form into a frown.
was life really fucking with him? first was the pressure from his university finals now this? he was more than exhausted and having a haunted apartment seemed to be the cherry on top for atsushi.
