The eyes that sparkle
reflecting his mood.
As his gaze sees her
they brighten just a little.
The deepest emerald
mixed with smooth chocolate.
Nothing but pure beauty
as they illuminate even more.
As his love grows with every step
he takes toward her
his eyes brighten and his mouth
starts to smile.
The mouth that twitches,
the faint outline of smile
that only she can make.
That damn smile!
The glass wall between them
shatters their hearts.
They can see one another
but never touch...not again.
The brightness in his eyes
changes to determination.
Determination to never loose her
anything but her.
Both of them smile sadly
bittersweet.
They do what's right
and leave the glass.
Soon enough the glass is too much
so he hits it...
she does then same...
It cracks.
He smiles, tears forming
so does she, thinking finally.
She gazes back to his eyes
which shine with tears.
We got there.
