had a wild dream which sparked a new story idea. set in the 1930s, a young art student who works at a speakeasy discovers a statue in the basement of her establishment. the statue is of a wolf-like creature, and speaks to her, promising her great fortune and riches if she only 'repays' it. foolishly, she does as the statue says, and ends up wooing the woman of her dreams and becoming the owner of the establishment she works at. but she soon realises that the statue is to be paid in blood - literally. unable to siphon any of her own, she's forced to kill to people to sustain her good fortune and feed this increasingly mobile and increasingly aggressive statue. however, she begins to go insane as she realises that statue is appearing in places it shouldn't be, is whispering in her ear when she isn't near it, and is beginning to grow very human-like teeth...
its basically the same plot as The Little Shop of Horrors and The Monkey's Paw, I know, but I still like it :D
