Leaving the halls of St. Marys high, I couldn't be happier. For the past 16yrs i've been under the control of my abusive mother and finally I'm free. I was transferring down south to live with my aunt and her daughter's, Tammy and Trina. For years my aunt has been trying to convince my mother to let me move and she finally gave in. My mom was once my everything, my light at the end of the tunnel. But 3yrs ago after my dad died of colon cancer she's become this monster that I can't bare to live with. Arriving home an hour later my aunt was putting the final things in the car and all that's left are my goodbyes. The one thing I'm going to miss is my Bestfriend since birth, Bianca. We didn't say goodbye because in just a few months she would be down south with me celebrating the holidays. I walked over to my mom who wasn't saying much and just hugged her. A tear slipped from my eye because no matter how bad she's treated me that's still my mom. We shared a look and I told her goodbye and went to get in the car, leaving her and my aunt to say their goodbyes. 10min later my aunt Tracy came out "Are you ready?" I simply smiled and nodded my head. As we head down to the sunshine state I knew that this was my new beginning.
