Chapter 16

*Evie's P.O.V*

I watched as Mal and Ben got lovey dovey and how Harry and Y/n were what seemed like miles apart from each other. Y/n was looking at the ground and Harry was looking away from everyone. It made my heart ache. I think I made a mistake of trying to protect Y/n by keeping her away from someone who could make her happy. Sure he's from the Isle but so am I. I learned to love and so can Harry. I need to talk to him. I need to make things right. I also need to talk to Y/n. To make things right with her too. I looked around at the others and saw that Carlos was giving Jane her gift but being completely awkward with it. After that everyone agreed that Jane, Doug and Gil will head out to find Fairy Godmother. 

Everyone else started to make their way to the cottage Audrie's mother was raised in. The whole way there Y/n kept to her self and Harry trailed in the back. Y/n had her arms around her and seemed to not look up once. My heart wanted to break. All I wanted to do was protect her. Throughout her whole life she never felt love that she could give to someone. She hardly had friends so I tried to prevent anything bad happening to her. Although, I messed up and didn't think completely. 

Once we got to the cottage we burst through the door yelling out Audrie's name. But nothing. She was no longer here. Suddenly a thud made us all turn. We looked at a closet. Ben slowly opened it and we found Chad. He scurried out of the closet and told us what happened. We all sighed and left the cottage. It had started to get dark now.

"Wait." Mal got in front of the group and stopped us all. "I have something to tell you guys." She looked troubled.

*Y/n's P.O.V*

"We have made a decision to close the barrier forever." My mouth gaped. "There will be no more going in and out." My brows furrowed. "But you objected this, right?" Evie said. Mal frowned. "It was my idea." everyone looked hurt now. "Mal we promised those kids!" Evie's voice cracked. "Mal." It was the first time I spoke since running into Harry and my voice was filled to the brim with hurt. "I had no choice! It was to protect you guys!" Tears streamed down my cheeks and I started to walk away. "Y/n." Mal whined trying to grab my arm. "No!" I yelled finally starting to break. "First Evie and now you." I fully turned to her. She had tears in her eyes but did she really have the right to start crying when she knew the consequences. 

"I have done everything for you guys and this is how you all repay me. Evie and Ben, banning me from seeing Harry ever again. You! Getting rid of me ever having a chance to patch things up with him. to ever spend time with him ever again!" I blew. I let out all the pain that I have been holding in. All the anger. "Don't you guys ever think about anyone but yourselves." Waterfalls of tears flowed down my cheeks. I looked at Harry and saw the shock on his face. I turned away and rushed off. The last thing I heard was from Harry. "What great friends yeh guys are."
