My Second Side (Omegaverse)/ Reader X Keith

Keith looked at me with a look in his eyes, like he knew I was lying, but he just shook it off and smiled at me. “Wait, Keith don't we have to go to school?” I asked Keith quietly, so the others couldn’t hear me over their conversations.

“It is a teacher workshop day, so we are good. Anyways, that is why Hunk said we should have a movie night.” Keth says brushing it off.

“Oh,ok.” I says looking down at my half eaten plate of pancakes. I stood up slowly and walked back into the kitchen, everyone was in conversation, so no one asked me what I was doing. I felt real bad when it came to throwing food, so I put the plate in the fridge. I finished my water, and threw away the bottle, before looking back into the living room. 

Lance was hugging Allura with one arm, and making weird gestures with the other one. Lance was clearing telling Pidge some weird story. Hunk was talking to Keith, but I dont think Keith was paying attention. Hunk was going on about some new kind of restaurant that had just opened up, and Keith was giving him his idea of it, but  he kept looking over at Lance and Allura. He didn't look at them completely, his eyes would just look over at them for a split second every once and awhile. He wasn't looking at them annoyed or anything, just kinda jealous, or maybe longingly. Like he wished he was able to do that with someone. 

What little of a smile I had faded to a look of disappointment. It wasn't at any of then, it was at myself. “I can’t be that person for Keith.” I think to myself, stepping back into the kitchen. I slip to the floor, with my back to the wall, and my head in my hands. “Keith deserves someone better than me. I mean I’m not as sweet, or as caring, or just overall awesome as Keith. Jesus christ, pull yourself together. You barely even know anyone in that other room. Just-just…” I couldn't think anymore I could feel tears streaming down my face, and could hear everyone talking in the other room, but I wasn't paying attention to them till I heard my name. 

I heard Pidge say my name, but I didn't catch the context to it. “I mean, I thought they were going to kill you when you yelled at them on the roof.” Lance says, laughing. 

“Not even that, i heard that they stood up to James. Like they embarrassed him in front of his pack. Did you tell them about him, or what?” Pidge asks, who I assume is Keith.

“Well, I told her, but I am pretty sure it was after, I mean it can't be that bad right? Anyways (Y/N) is really fucking strong.” Keith says.

“Ya, but they also must be pretty stupid, if they continusly pissed off James. Did you tell them about the last omega that embarrassed him?” Pidge asks scared.

“well...I told them about what normally happens. I told them that he r-rapes the, but nothing else.” Keith says nervously.

“Keith!” I hear Allura yell worried. “A Lot more happened to last omega that stood up to him like that.”

“Ya, I kno-” I here Keith says before Hunk cuts him off.

“Dude, the last omega, was found with so many drugs in their system, that the medicats where surprised they are still alive, and everything else. You need to protect them now. I mean at least keep them away from James.” Hunk says hushed.

“Ya man, they are like family now, so nothing can happen to them.” I hear Lance says sternly. “Speaking of (Y/N) where are they?”

“I thought they went to go get some water, they should be back.” Keith says confused. I hear someone walk over to the kitchen and when I look slightly next to me, I see the familiar black jeans.  Keith squats down in front of me, and puts his hand in my hair. I look up at him slowly, and see that same caring expression. “I thought something might be wrong?” Keith says quietly.
