I attracted you as light does to a moth
But you couldn't stick around
Because you found out
My light doesn't burn as bright
If I were her, could I keep you?
Make tomorrow forever
And bask in your love
The problem was never getting your attention
The problem was keeping it
Day by day I strip myself
Of the layers I used to conceal who I really am
But did you care?
Was my light so alluring
That once you saw my darkness you left?
