Shoto's P.O.V
After another day of training I'm in my room just laying on my bed with anger coming up to the surface. I sit up feeling empty and of course, anger. I look out my door and window to see if anyone will see me. When I know that no one will see me, I swim to my secret place that I used to go to as a kid. It's a cave on the surface that opens up to the ocean. I would swim there when I would feel alone or scared, but now I swim there when I feel empty and want to pull off my scales.
When I get to the cave I swim in and sit on the edge of the rocky floor and the water with my tail in the water. I take off my choker and lose myself in the sound of silence and the movement of the water. I let lose and start singing.
(Play music now)
"Laying in the bed that I made all alone

I feel the water on my right start to get cold and the water on my left start to warm up but I don't pay mind to it.

I bow my head while closing my eyes trying to keep my anger down and locked up. I can feel the temperature rise up and drop down gradually.
"Bending 'till you break and you can't take anymore

I open my eyes and looked at the half frozen-half boiling water still in my trance so I don't see Kirishima in the distance.
"You're safe here

I feel my hands subconsciously pull off my scales but I don't stop.
"Am I my father's son?
Please, someone prove me wrong

I feel someone grab my arms and pull them down. I snap out of my little trance which caused the ice to melt and the water to stop boiling. I looked up to see Kirishima holding my arms with concern written all over his face. I looked away in shame.
Kiri's P.O.V
I looked at his neck to see the choker that he always where's is gone. I looked to my right to see that it is next to him. I look at him to see if he would continue to pull off his scale so I hesitantly let go of his arms and put the choker back on him.
"Why did you do that?"
Silence.
"Todoroki, tell me why."
Silence.
"Shoto Todoroki! Tell me why you pulled off your scales!"
'Because it's the only thing I know to stop my pain!' Todoroki signed hesitantly. He rarely signs after getting his choker. So I don't know why he's signing now.
"How long has this been going on for?"
'I don't want to talk about it.' Todoroki looked up and fear was in his eyes.
"What's wrong?"
"Look behind you." He finally said looking at something behind me.
I look behind me and see two human female looking at us. I get into a fighting stance to protect Shoto.
