~ Beach Day ~

~ I'm back ~

Ten and Hendery hadn't actually taken a vacation together since they started dating, so this would be their first. They decided on driving to the beach and staying there for a while. They drove a couple of hours to get there, but it was worth it.

They got to their destination and went to the house they had rented out before going out on the actual beach. Once they made it into the hot sand, they started racing each other towards the water. There were surely people looking at them like they were crazy, but they couldn't care less.

Hendery made the unfortunate mistake of splashing Ten with water, not realizing he had just stared a war. Ten started splashing Hendery back with a vengeance. Their war continued until a large wave came up, spraying salt water in both of their faces. With that event they decided to go back to the land for a while.

They both sat down on a the sand for a while before Hendery had an idea. "Hey, Ten?" He said turning to the other.

"Yes?"

"When was the last time you built a sand castle?"

"Probably when I was like five."

"Are you kidding? We need to make one." Hendery insisted, standing up from his place on the sand.

"Wouldn't it be kind of weird to make one? It's usually something kids do." Ten argued, not wanting to look weird in front of all the others on the beach.

"Uh, no. I'm pretty sure the sand doesn't have an age limit. Just look at them."

Ten looked over to where Hendery had just pointed to see an elderly couple sitting in the sand building a little sand village together. Okay, yeah, that's pretty cute he thought witnessing the couple.

Ten stood up with Hendery's help and went on the hunt for some tools to make the sand castle. They ended up having to walk to a shop near the pier to buy some.

They came back to their stop and dropped their newly acquired supplies. Ten went to go get a bucket of water while Hendery found a good spot to build. Ten being Ten, had devised an evil plan while getting the water. He came up behind Hendery who was sitting on the ground and sat down one bucket of water he had gotten. He took the second bucket of water and promptly poured it on Hendery's head.

Hendery jumped at the sudden attack, turning around to see Ten standing there, laughing. Hendery wasn't even mad about the water since he got to hear the other man's cute laughter. He smiled, he's always so cute when he's happy he thought.

They regained their composure and began working on their castle. They were working on one side of it each, insulting the others design choices as they went along. They kept working for quite a while to create a rather large castle. Once they had both agreed that it was complete, the two got up and took a step back to admire their work.

Ten's side looked like a proper castle with some little shells and sticks added for decoration. Hendery's half was the polar opposite. His side actually did look like a kid made it, it was covered in starfish shapes and he had also dug a small mote surrounding his half. Overall it was quite the site.

Seeing as the tide was starting to come in, the two took pictures of the castle before taking one with it. They went back to their original spot on the beach and enjoyed watching the water slowly coming in and the sun falling lower in the sky.

"This was really nice, we need to do this more often." Ten said as the sun was beginning to set, painting the sky with gold and orange streaks.

Hendery laced his fingers together with Ten's. "I hope we can keep doing this for a long time." He said, turning away from the ocean to look at the man beside him. " I love you."

Ten smiled at the honesty in his boyfriends voice. He had always been the sappy romantic in the relationship but Ten has never minded it, he actually really enjoyed that side of the man. He leaned over to Hendery, placing a kiss on his lips before laying his head down onto his shoulder. "I love you too, Hendery."
